Wow! Those look great!

Figured I’d put this on before moving up from a 2.5” intake piping to a bigger 3-4” piping and intercooler...

Christmas comes early Doc&Ruby !!
He's been planning this and working with Kyle &ZZP for a long time - - I'm very happy for him

Kyle D just texted me - he's almost done with Ruby! I got these photos a few minutes ago. Hope to get Ruby back in a couple hours.
--> Stage 1 turbo w/ fuel/air gauge
--> New rear exit exhaust

Heading back to Arkansas in the morning 🌄
Doc you were talking about a trip to 'Montana' and looking at pictures from SoCal I figured you were going to the Mountains to ride a little.... Two hours after reading this post and riding my Slingshot I finally figured out what was going on....just a little slow once in a while. That's why I can't get boosted....

That exhaust looks really good... Jelly!

Okay Okay Doc&Ruby tell us what you think of being boosted - - - -
Ruby is quite different now. Not just power, its how the machine needs to be driven. Want to say up front that materials and workmanship from the folks at ZZP is first rate! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kyle D & ZZP to anyone. Also an open invitation for anyone to take a look at Ruby and go for a ride.
I've had manual shift cars most of my life, and many of them were economy cars, low HP, and I drove them for best mileage, get into high gear quickly and keep rpms low. You cannot drive this system like that.
The new system is designed for performance, not economy. If you lug the engine with low rpms, or put your foot into it from low rpms, the engine doesn't like it & will backfire. You either have to accelerate quite slowly, or drop a gear and give it the gas. When you drive it like it is intended, the acceleration is amazing.
The exhaust is a bit louder than I want, moving to rear-exit didn't change anything noise wise from the under-car exit. I'll be looking into a removable baffle for it. If I'm out bombing around on my own, I'm perfectly happy, but the Captain finds it a bit much.
Learning how the new power curve works, and how Ruby handles under that kind of power will take time and patience. Passing is a joy, no longer a terror. Again, discipline and patience, just plain seat time is needed. I'm very happy with the new system, going to take some time, but I'm certain that my need for "more power" is satisfied 😌.

The one thing you don't want to do is to go full throttle at low rpms or lug the engine under boost. But let ZZP fill you in on their recommendations
