oh I have zero reservations and would love to be back on the two wheels. I really miss my bike. but I would rather keep the wife happy and do as she pleases. I am not afraid of pushing the envelope and testing the limits of anything that I ride. I grew up racing dirt bikes and then when I graduated high school I switched to street. never looked back. but when I ride I ride it hard and with no fear. that is what bothers my wife. riding wheelies in traffic and all that stopped when I got married. for the most part lol. now I am in the SS and I am happy.
What did you drive or ride before you got a Slingshot?

Hydroplane off the turnpike at 80 mph after a truck gave me a bump.
We should be calling you “Mr. Lucky”

2008 Softail Deluxe breast cancer tribute bike. Miss it.

I had a Honda Big Red back in the day - just about tore my foot off several times - was glad to see it go
Oh yeah? WHICH FOOT?

Restored a 77 Triumph Spitfire and had done some custom tweaks to the suspension, engine and was working on a Surry top for it (half hard top/half soft top). This was something offered back in the TR4 period but never in a Spitfire. Was a very fun car but had a bug to buy a Porsche 914 so sold it. Ended up with the SlingShot.

My first 10 years in the army I was a fire direction specialist for MLRS, and I actually got to drive them also.mlrs.png

There’s days when I wish I had a mini version of this in my truck bed for bonehead drivers!

Only room in my CA garage for one vehicle. Ended up selling my 64 Chevelle (4-door) to make room for the slingshot.
I don't miss that car much, maybe had it been a 2 door.

Well, many cars before Sling... But I was modding since my teenage years... My first taste of mod bug:
I had Mustang side scoops on that thing! Inside was a Playstation 2, TV screens, sub box, glow tube lights, strobes on the outside, an led light up exhaust pipe, just mod crazy... And my budget was very limited! More so than now if you can believe it... I was 17 years old. Working part time after school though.

Evening sir... I’m here to pick up your daughter

I never modded any vehicle like my SS....I just was anal about making sure everything worked like it should. But this addiction of adding thousands of dollars to a vehicle (SS) is new to me. It’s fun but expensive....

I had some very nice special toys before Slingshot and Vanderhall Venice .

Wow ghost... I tried to find my 1937 truck I built on a Jeep wagoner chassis.. Cold not find it.
But the Panoz was one of 176 the one next to Honda S2000 and that was one special car. I think at times to buy it or another but
really happy with Slingshot and Vanderhall ..Can not wait to get body done on Sling and hope it makes me happy..LOL
My Lotus I really liked but without warranty it would have been a fortune to keep.
The red car I had for 33 yrs.. I custom made that but it was a Olds 455 cu in in rear and had Corvette front suspension.
But the first years it had a VW front suspension and it was so rear end heavy that it would skip lanes ...Scary to drive.
The little 3 wheelers were very cool to drive ..The red and black one is Triking and moto Guzzi powered and was a
lot of fun but at 10ft long and 30" tall going down the road you could go under tractor trailer and not hit.
My wife did not like riding in either for they were so small..LOL
The 58 Jeep with 9' bed was 350 chevy but the rear was so light and under heavy braking the rear would come around..But the Panoz or Lotus would be my choice if I could have it back..
I can not drive anything old any more that does not handle ..
I luv to look at old stuff but hate to drive it anymore..My first set of wheels was a go cart but my second is that mini bike and my 56 Nomad was 396 4 sp and was my first car I built with one pc fiberglas front end .
And I had a 1968 L88 Corvette and traded it in for a 1974 Monte Carlo..Yikes that Corvette is worth over 500k,,I have had a lot of fun my 67 yrs and not having kids sure gave me more toys for me than to share.. Yippie!!
My Dad spoiled me and I even had a train in back yard with steel track and you hand cranked the train..
But my Dad never had a new bicycle or car in his life ..
So I really feel blessed for the life and times I have had.. -

Actually... I did pick up my then girlfriend, now wife in that truck!
I knew she was the one when I picked her up and I only had the driver seat installed because I had just changed the carpeting to black versus gray... She got in anyway and didn't judge!
She sure does judge slingshot mods now though...
I also had it painted by the way... This was the stock look...

Back in my day (High School) the girl would not even go out with you if you came to pick her up in a TRUCK.
