Rolling out tomorrow morning. Doubletree, here we come!
Weather continues to get better. I doubt we will hit any rain on the way down. Timing is spot on....
If we get wet it's Scott's (my son-in-law) fault! See you in the morning!

And see, I thought she was going to go hoodless. At least she has a nice top on now
Most of us guys were hoping she was going TOPLESS...……..
Yeah, I understand, probably why she bought a Top...
I really tried to come up with something witty about hoodless or bottomless, but it just didn't fit with the hood or missing there of
Ya’ gotta see Rock City! 😂😂😂

Alabama can't take the credit for Rock City... believe the belongs to the portion of Lookout Mountain in Georgia or Tennessee..
We have a few of the original barns with the tin roofs painted with "SEE ROCK CITY" on them... a small history lesson in those.. not as many as there used to be. Rock city paid to advertise on those barns located on private property's. Used to be more than 20 or 30 between lookout mountain Alabama and lookout mountain tennessee... now maybe 10... maybe less... still show the advertisement.

Yeah Ladybird Johnson got rid of all that “ugly” roadside clutter with her Highway Beautification Act.

Rock City is in Chattanooga. You don’t have to drive up to the top. You can take the cog rail to get up there. Saves on brakes, but isn’t as much fun. Maybe...
Com'on tomorrow!!
Leaving about 5am from Austin, Tx. Stopping about 9am in Dallas to pick up wokka. Plan on being in Huntsville around 6pm-ish.
And work is just going to SHXX right now: My suppliers are saying they are late. We're going to lose >$1M in revenue this month. Even if I get 1 supplier fixed, there's still 2 more that are F'ing us, including 1 that is NEVER late. I just wanna go away until this blows over. (Waiting for the boss to call and tell me my PTO is cancelled. My response is going to be I'm still taking Thurs/Fri off - you only have to decide if you want me back on Monday.)
Loaded, locked and and ready to rock! I hear ya chavey2, can't get here soon enough, leaving the same time from Ohio. Will meet up with Goats_Hogs and Sharon in northern Kentucky. Hope and pray everyone has a safe ride in!
Weather was favorable so I split out a day early. Just settling in ( IN BAMA ) baby.
Got wet a couple of times but all is good , arrived safely

How many hours of a ride is that BryanL ?
I know this goes without saying for everyone, but we owe a big debt to Ross and the rest of https://www.slingshotownersgroup.com/ for putting this together. Only they know how many hours they've invested for nothing but the joy of it.
and last but not least, MACAWS
Thanks to all of you
Yeah, I stole those names from the website, and I'm sure all of you helped in some way to make this happen for us.

You will have to add maverick5990 to the list.
Thanks
Trent
I only know a few of the people on that list and a lot of them by reputation from here on the forums. Maverick wasn't listed on the SOG website in the about us

According to Google Maps it's about a 34-hour ride without stops. It's close to 2,500 miles each direction. I'm flying the friendly skys this time. The big road trips have to wait til next year when I'm retired.
