Amonia and acrylic don’t play well together. Also, never, ever, rub a tree on your plastic anything! Leaves deep scratches in it.

What do you posters consider to be a safe speed in the rain. I see a lot of people talking about hydroplaning but no one had mentioned the speed they were running when it happened. This would be good info for new owner.

the first time it happened to me was at about 75 on I-40, almost no traffic. Caught it before it went totally uncontrollable. Backed down to 40 and put on my flashers and kept going. Water was ponding on the roadway, had Neto 555s on. At 40 it was manageable, but the semis weren’t too happy with me.

It is going to be interesting, seeing all the reactions to the changes. People are so fun to watch...😄

Also, for what it's worth, I am truly sorry for my lack of posting on here. I was just about to leave my job for a new position with another company about 6 weeks ago due to poor management choices from the upper end at the shop (I've been there nearly 25 years). I had even told one of the supervisors I was up for my 3rd interview elsewhere, and was only waiting for the call in on site for the meeting (they have since called 4 times to get me to come in for that interview). Then, 2 days later, the owner of the shop shows up (lived a day's drive away) and throws a big change up into the mix. Some in upper management were let go, and some others were moved around. The owner has moved back into the area, and is now at the shop 2-3 days a week. He asked me to take over the machine shop (and I will occasionally do some tooling design when needed whenever I have the time to do so) over the prototype end. I've done it before, although not as a manager/supervisor. The good thing is, I only have 3 guys that I'm over, and they all are good and do their job. This position is a working position, and while I have to do quoting and extra paperwork, I'm out in the shop doing all the setups and programming of the CNC mills. We have 6 CNC machines, so to say it keeps me busy is an understatement! I'm not online much at all during the day, and with 2 grandkids that are into sports, most evenings I'm offline also. I do stop in here at least 2-3 times a week, but mostly only address any quotes or messages.

Y'all can't get rid of me that easily...... 8o:D;)

Sounds like you are in a position that you can still love. Good for you! Enjoy!

I have a combined 34 years Air Force/Civilian Technician. Plus a couple more years other. Its a young mans game. I'm a few older than the Frankie 55 but the 55 sounds better so I keep it. I filed my retirement paperwork two weeks ago. Dec 30th last day!

    Woot Woot!

Congrats on surviving that long. I gave ‘em 21 years. Pulled the ripcord from the Air Force in ‘90 then hung up the civilian coat in’16. Best things I ever did for myself.

They keep making phones bigger. I always put my phone in my back pocket. I've been buying Wrangler jeans my whole life. Just bought a new pair of jeans and the phone sticks out the pocket at least 2 in. it was fine in my old pair? Great set-up for a pick-pocket. So phones get bigger & pockets get smaller.

Does anyone know what that mysterious pocket in the front is for? The little pocket no one uses that they could have eliminated to cut cost instead of reducing back pocket material.

It is called a watch pocket. That is where I park my pocket watch when I carry it.

Been off line for a while. Recently noticed that my steering wheel cover was coming apart. (I don’t like the skinny stock wheel). So ordered a replacement on line. It was too big. Returned and tried again. First one was for 15” wheels. New one is for 14” inch.

We have a Twist GullWing. Love it! The smoked plastic gives plenty of open air feel while keeping the direct sun off my face most of the time. Combined with the Madstad windshield we have all the ventilation you could ask for and almost zero fumes in the cockpit. I’ve looked at others and wouldn’t replace it for the world.

    Gearing up for ROCKTOBERFEST!

    Loudon Municiple Park

    Loudon TN.

    15 Bands

    Food Trucks

    Kids Games

Trunk or Treat Sat. at 5

    Veterans Honor Program Sat. 2PM

To take part in the Veterans Honor Program we are meeting up in the parking lot of the Food City on Hey 72 in Louden, TN at 1:30. Kick stands up at 1:45 for the short ride to the park.

Just got back from Chattanooga and my favorite dealer. Had an engine knock sensor issue. They reset the code and tested the scoot. Said that they have had several slings with the same issue. They can find nothing wrong with the engine nor with the sensors/wiring.

The service manager is wondering if it might be related to the latest recall. There MAY be a loose wire in the system that opens the circuit at the same time that I shut down the sling resulting in a false sensor output.

We are waiting for Polaris to send out the parts to fix the recall. Dealer will call me when the parts come in.

    Until then...ride on...
