I think the slingshade looks sharp but, the quality in workmanship damn sure isn't there... Have seen them warp and the latches brake off. You would of thought Polaris would of had this worked out since it took so long to release for production.

Wow @Neosolidus. I never purchased one as my new seats are one inch taller than the stock. Need to loose weight and then see LOL. Planning on going down to Maggie Valley and take a look at all the tops down there and see if I like them. Like the way the sling shade looks... although looks better with no warping (sorry). My guess is that Polaris needs to do some redesigning. But then again, I have a feeling they have a successful product more or less and they have no clue what they are doing with it. Like they just throw things out there sometimes.

Those of you with slingshade suffering from this too(warping plastics).........?

That’s unacceptable....especially for the price....if it’s warped already...it’s only going to get worse....it will be whistling air and leaking water. Pop rivets and weather seal is the only thing that will cure that....and then what’s the use of buying a roof that opens?
The suns heat partially straightened out the visor I made....I curved it with a heat gun...and the sun uncurled it. So I took it off and I’m making metal reinforcements to keep it curved.

Hmm. No mine still looks brand new. I keep it in the garage, though. Have you contacted the dealer?

Not yet but it hasn't gotten "Alabama" hot yet. Only time will tell. As far as the whistling mentioned in this thread mine is whistling but it isn't caused by the latches, it is caused between the top and the top of the tall windscreen. My sun visors will eliminate that when I get a chance to get them on there.

......This is mad funny , cant stop laughing at this..........Guess I shouldn't be on this thread, being how I want a slingshade but feel it isn't worth no more than 1500 at best, no way ill pay 2500 and now reading this, why bother I say..........

Same here, I almost jumped in when Noel started offering free Hoops exchange.
The slingshade is the best looking top bar none but the sturdiness leaves a lot to be desired.......

I feel the same way, its the BEST looking one for the Slingshot but being how the majority of my riding is in the evenings anyway I'm not going to sweat it YET ........Have to research this one now.......... Twist Dynamics Gull Wing Roof Top (doesn't look like this has WARP problems).....
