I'm waiting until the new seats are in to pull the trigger. My head clearance was very close and I'm worried the new seats pushing my ass up even an inch will be an issue. Maybe I just need to loose weight and reduce the size of my ass end LOL.

Not falling for the trap of commenting on another guy's ass LOL

They go by cyclesprings on ebay.

Here are the pics as promised. I thought I would show how it comes as well in case anyone orders one you will know what to expect It needs a wash job I know...Life has been crazy with fixing family members vehicles Fortunately the white truck is the last one LOL Looks like I added the pics twice somehow...

Got my top today. I ordered it through Cycle Springs. They had Free Shipping on ebay and no tax so I did good getting it through them.
It came is a huge box. Took me a good hour or so to put it on, definitely not a hard thing for one guy to do. Only crazy part was the stud bolt that helps hold the back wing things on to the Rollbars. That could have better designed, but it works. My first drive had me hearing this machine differently...not in a bad way, just different. The stereo sounds better LOL The doors do seem a little flimsy when opening, but I just use 2 hands on it one by each magnet and it works well. Overall I am happy and it is as cool on as I thought it would be
I will get Kev's NASCAR Windshield in another few weeks and I am sure that will make it sound totally different again once that is on. Still looking to do the Dual Exhaust thing, I may buy a welder and make what I need myself since I have had no luck any other way. Mods are fun!!!
Got dark here quickly, so I will put up a few pics tomorrow.

I watched that build on Velocity too...only reason I know there is a cool car like that LOL

I want to put old fashion Dual Side Exhaust on my Slingshot. I made contact with a guy who did it and he sent me pics of how he has his exhaust manifold connector setup.
I am Not a welder and most of the guys I have found around here do not want to take on such a small job so I am sort of SOL locally. I am attaching pics of how his was done if anyone would be willing to take on the job...for money of course
There is a flange on ebay that I could buy and provide, if it would even work. The way his is setup is he uses this manifold and it exhausts out the side, not the bottom as on original and aftermarket manifolds.

I posted the pipes just so everyone would understand the look I meant.
Here are the pics of his connection piece:

I ordered the Slingshade in Orange Madness and Kev's Windshield yesterday. I think it will be a great combination, and just flows with the Slingshot body lines almost in the the way the Bugatti Aerolithe does 1935 Bugatti Aerolithe re-creation completed: Lost magnesium-bodied coupe replicated after years of effort | Autoweek
I wanted the Slingshade from the beginning and when I bought my Slingshot they had it for sale...wait, no they don't type situation back then. Now that it is available I though why not just get one!!

Definitely a new Dealer! It is an easy project as are just about everything on these cool a** vehicles!!
Got mine at about an inch loose and not a noise one and i am happy that way.
-
Yes....yes I want that
-
Is the Exhaust still for sale?
-
FunCycle hooked me up with some additional Bling for mine....what a Great guy!!!!
I realized after I took the pics I forgot to remove the plastic from the Pin Stripe, but that is done now
I think it looks Awesome and all of the colors go with the Orange Madness scheme.
I didn't take it off because I have some locktite on the set screws, not the easiest laying on the ground to do this job, but I got it done

I am an newbie here as well. I bought an SLR because I loved the Paint Job, and I knew that some of the other things I liked about it I would have to come out of pocket instead of being part of my note.
There are still a few small, relatively cheap Mods I can make and not be broke for weeks at a time.
I am saving up for an exhaust, and also new shocks, but still loving the ride and all of the fun, questions about it and just the how cool it is overall.
I also owned a motorcycle for many years and this by far beats it hands down...my opinion only
1072 miles so far.

I put some Loctite on the screws and gave the the old German torque...goot and tight and just went with it.
I hope it doesn't come off, and really think it won't.

Threw some Orange and Black paint on mine.
Not the perfect color Orange, but in a place I can always say it's the light causing it to look different .
Lots of Orange and Black lines on my machine already so a few more just adds to the theme!!
-
I received mine today.
I think I may paint it orange if I can find a color close to Orange Madness. I may even put a black stripe in it like the gold one shown previously...maybe even 2 of them to break it up.
Thanks My Toy for an awesome Item!!!!!
