it looks like you are asking about before and after of the light with the metal plate. Before wouldn't really matter in the video because he is changing the lights anyway but at the end of the video it sows the difference between the new and old. The plate is easy to bend just the way he shows but don't drive the tool you use to bend it all the way through the glass. Mine was dramatically brighter and better after bending that plate and installing the LEDs.
I don’t like bending things unless there is a good benifet for it. If it makes those lights brighter I guess I will just bend away. Those pesky deer have been making me mad with the surprise on the side. I have the LED’s.
@Jdin I would be happy if someone would get rid of the pest on my block. @HeRSling took a pic of these up the street when she came home from work yesterday. I have seen 20 at a time in that yard. The lady feeds them all the time. They eat our plants and have damaged cars including one of my neighbors who got a fender smashed on his 2 week old 650hp Z28. He was not happy. We live outside the city limits so if anyone wants some easy hunting feel free to come by. We would prefer bows.
The word from my dealer is the Canadian lights only work on high beam...US law says only run 4 head lights on regular (low) beam. --- I wanted more light on low beam -- so the Canadian set up didn't do what I wanted....but didn't find that out until after the fact.

hmm,
Here in VA it is six lights up front if I am not mistaken. @TheRock
For some reason, I thought it was six, but I didn't want to reply based solely on my terrible memory. As with many things regarding the Slingshot, I believe it to be a gray area. If the law doesn't specifically address an "autocycle" does the passenger vehicle or motorcycle law apply? Regardless, 5 headlights on the front of the Slingshot would look ridiculous...
That all being said, I don't run headlights at all during the day, I use my halos as DRLs, but when I do run my headlights I run all 6 AND my 2 fog lights... well technically 4 fog lights. So technically I have been running 10 white forward facing lights for a couple years and have yet to have any LEOs hassle me... Not something I'm going to fret over and I don't thing my Brothers in Blue will bust my chops over it.
§ 46.2-1030

B. Not more than four lights used to provide general illumination ahead of the vehicle, including at least two headlights and any other combination of fog lights or other auxiliary lights approved by the Superintendent, shall be lighted at any time. However, motorcycles may be equipped with and use not more than five approved lights in orderto provide general illumination ahead of the motorcycle. These limitations shall not preclude the display of warning lights authorized in §§ 46.2-1020 through 46.2-1027, or other lights as may be authorized by the Superintendent.

Here @flipr...
Maybe good reading?
Looking for brighter headlights not satisfied with my Tric LEDs in there now??
Great reading, thanks @MiM
Just because I love to revive old threads... I am trying to find LED replacements for the headlights... I have seen the middle lights listed as H9/H11? Outer lights H3? Can anyone confirm that? With that being said...are they straight plug and play? Do I need anything else?
Led will be plug and play , HID will not.
@MiM a standard 3" OD LED should work. The ones sold in the off-road market have become generic and also very cheap in the construction as the market became flooded with inexpensive versions. I recommend paying a little more and find an established name.
Send me your address via PM as I may have a used set I can send you for free.
Better quality and better looking.
Never updated this thread...
Here's another gratuitous picture of my Sling and these beautiful Rugged Ridge 3.5inch LEDs...
Thanks again Patrick! They got many looks at the rally...

With all respect to @MiM, if he could accomplish this great mod most people could.
Any chance MiM you could do a detailed write-up on the parts needed and the how to on the install.
I really would like to try it.
Need to take a little care running '6' head lights.... When a dealer installs the Canadian Headlights to US Slingshots, the Canadian lights only work on "Bright"....
in most areas 4 headlights in max by law.
That's why I call them Canadian Fog lights. And there is a way to wire them so they are always on Bright.

Well NO! you shouldn't send a Disrespectful Message when there are multiple wallflowers out here wanting to know the same thing. Except I'd like to do just the outside marker lights - I don't have the Canadian conversion. (.gif of rolling eyes and middle finger)
