The dealers are selling them ALL faster than they can get them.... I may not like a certain model but somebody does.....
My dealers can't get ANY!! So they are selling faster than they can make them? Numbers please...

That GM motor was a selling point for me. I can go to Autozone and get an oil filter, spark plugs and probably a few other engine parts. It's been around; bugs worked out (engine at least).
I'm good though, I have my 2019 with that engine and manual transmission.
I have to agree that I like having an "old" proven design for a motor with parts readily available

I didn’t see a GM motor As a 2020 option...
It's green!! Bad mojo
Yeah, but just think of the endless custom theme possibilities; Riddler, Green Lantern, Hulk... lol

for an additional $600 you can get a “stage 1 tune up“ to increase the HP to 203....so what would the $600 buy?

The power difference between the SL and the R is just a tune in the ECM. So Polaris is basically flashing the ECM with the tune from an R for $600. There are no mechanical differences in the engine between the 2 power levels that Polaris offers on the 2020 models.

That is the same that most of us have done to ours by going to Bob's or ZZP tune in ours NA slings, now the question is is their tune good enough to be worth the 600?

From the testing we have done here, I would say much more worth it than on the 2015-2019 models.

at least they are cheaper than Volvo - - Volvo has a tune they sell for my wifes s60 called the Polstar Performance Software and they want over $1,200 and for that you get about 15 more HP and 22 ft pounds of torque along with optimized shifting and such
Personally, I'd hope an aftermarket boost kit would produce far more HP than Polaris' Stage 1 tune. Yes, it'll cost more, but hopefully provide a lot more power. If Polaris introduces a stripper Slingshot with the SL motor (120 HP version), no radio and a manual transmission, say, after they've sold all of the old Ecotec motors they're currently putting in the 2019 Base models, this could be the new gen 2 Slingshot base platform and would be ideal for adding mods.
Just not feeling that 34K model. Green with gold wheels. Nah.
Polaris site shows 178hp. For 34k you would think they would at least have the 203hp version. I think Polaris has lost their way the past few years. Sling was a big hit partly because of the price point back in 2015 for the top of the line model back then. Now, they are just Jacking up the price by adding a few goodies. Must be a bigger profit margin on the high end models where the price us high but the differences are few. Plus its AUTODRIVE

Bro, I would like the 293 HP version... for real...
I guess some may like it. If I want to drive a cage I get in my car. Funny how they keep coming out with niche models but my dealers (3) cannot even get any models. Bring back the mini skirts! Make for some interesting entry and exits.
LOVE THEM MINISKIRTS. WAY back when there were boys working in the "pits" at bowling alleys, setting pins and returning balls, I was a "pin boy". We all looked forward to Ladies League Night. Best free entertainment a 14 year old boy could find, AND, we got paid to do it.

The new green Slingshade-equipped model is a 2020, not the old 2019 model originally shown on the website with the Slingshade. Given it's price, I'm really surprised it doesn't come with the Stage 1 tuned motor with 203 HP.

Coming soon to a 2020 near you...

i think that 34k “limited edition “ is hideous. Its like they didnt even try to really make it appealing for everyone and just said “fuck it we’ll slap some green and price it at 34k OH and we’ll say its limited.”
My post said 293hp. My bad I meant 203.

Just think! You can almost buy "THREE" used with mods, 5,000 mile Slingshot's for that
