I use a mobile auto detailing service that will come to my house and clean the outside of the SS to include wheels, tires, and they make sure they get the swingarm clean for $19.95. Can't beat em.
-
Blue Dawn dishwashing soap a quick wipe with lemon pledge after it dries then a wipe down with F-111 ----- use it on the truck, slingshot, bikes and boat
-
I use Lucas SlickMist

Wait! What was the question again?!?!?

I have been using only Lemon Pledge or Favor to polish the Grasshopper from day one, a secret is to get right at them, do not wait days or weeks. If they have been there for days or weeks, then start out with copious amounts of water.

I heard good things about bug slide. No one carries it here in Tulsa or Oklahoma as matter of fact but you can buy it online.
I been using Plexus and it works really well. Very easy to wipe clean with just a damp micro fiber rag. -
Deep Cleaning - Griot's Garage Window Cleaner
After driving - PlexusFor rain repellent, wax the clean windshield with a quality carnauba paste wax, like S100 or whatever you prefer with no cleaners in it.
And PLEASE, use a quality microfiber towel.

Save the pledge for your furniture, not plastic!!!
-
We folks have been using Pledge on our various aircraft with plastic windshields for decades. We have been using it on our SlingShot since new, (especially the black plastic), and it still looks like it is new, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using Pledge.

Agree with @wjfyfe about Pledge. Used it on all of my airplanes, the canopies of more than one fighter and on every motorcycle with a 'shield I've owned. For a deep clean and polish I do use Plexus on the clear stuff. To clean off the front of the sling I'm using VooDoo Mojo Detailer. The paint just cleans right up and shines. If I've been out on the freeway in the rain, then I'll wash it with some soap and water before the polish.

No gloating here, just letting everybody know where the promised land is ( bug wise ) This is after a 75+ mile trip this weekend.

I use a wide blade putty knife - but that's only until I get mine painted

That looks like an original 2015 windshield, did you do the cutouts? How well do they work?

BillNo, that is not either one of the 2015 wind screens. The clear blade did not have the cut outs at the top or the bottom. The tinted had the notch at the top but none at the bottom. I have both of them, the clear has been cut off 2 inches and the tinted has been cut off to 1/4 inch above the center brace (about 2 1/2 inchs)

Water and Mr.Clean Magic Eraser... works great! Keep it treated with Aero Cosmetics Wash/Wax All
