Installed the TricLED battery box upgrade for the 2015 with the Optima Battery. I had installed the battery previously, and decided that I needed to protect the $300 battery. FYI - the 2015 model kit is discontinued, and Slingmods no longer carries it. The only one I could find anywhere was at All Things Three.
I completed my stereo upgrade. I was not planning on this project, but my wife wanted more sound! I was originally going to use the stock head unit, then decided against it. I followed the SSVWorks complete stereo install video on Slingmods for my guide to disassembling and installing the units. I mounted the amplifiers where the stock receiver unit was mounted under the dash. Wish I had a picture, sorry!

yes it was a sharp wheel but unfortunately for anybody liking it , while there are still some available at amazon dealers, believe it or not we can no longer get red or green stitching new from Assault, They have discontinued that wheel in red stitching , The new ones are now only available in gray white or black stitching , That sucks, but remember Slingshot products are a small small niche, while it sold a few for slingshots , there isn't enough interest in utv markets for that color any longer , so they no longer producing them , compared to the slingshot market , the UTV market is huge yet it is still considered a niche market .. I loved that wheel.
I got mine from Summit Racing. They still have it I believe. Get it while it's hot. Don't make the same mistake I did on Amazon and accidentally get the one for the Polaris side-by-side that does not have the horn. 4wd.com had it on their Amazon site. They took it back though, so all is well with the world.
I don't think that's a K&N, or if it is, they didn't list it as such. That came with my Twist Dynamics CAI kit.
I pulled it off and it has 0 labels or stamps anywhere on it. If I go to town over the next couple of days in the SS, I'll stop by a parts store and take it in, see if they can cross match it.
This one has a 3" ID on the inlet, not sure if that's any type of standard.
I believe mine was a Spectre Performance or another no-name brand. I have the package in the attic. If I can find it, I'll post it. Definitely NOT a K&N.
Here's a link to a Spectre Performance - https://www.amazon.com/Spectre…id=pla-570856997661&psc=1
I PUT THOSE RED BRAKE AND CLUTCH COVERS ON MY SLING A WHILE BACK.
WOULD NOT DO IT AGAIN! I'M TO FAT TO GET DOWN THERE TO PUT THEM ON GOT STUCK A COUPLE OF TIMES
AND THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE THE WAY I WOULD GO OUT, STUCK UPSIDE DOWN IN THE FLOORBOARD OF MY SLING.
Putting these on were not bad. Getting under there and attaching lights UNDER the glove box and dash was much tougher. My back still hurts.
Completed the following modifications after a long winter of not doing much:
DEI Complete Heat Control Kit
Aluminum Transmission Dust Cover
Metricks Lower Shock Mount License Plate Re-locator Kit
Paramount Plastics Stealth 2.5 Mega Audio Shade Sun Visor
Assault Industries Dead Pedal Foot Rest Cover (Red)
I also ordered the following yesterday:
Assault Industries Ballistic D-Shape Steering Wheels (Red Stitch)
Assault Aftermarket Steering Wheel Hub Adapter (Black)
Steering Wheel Puller
Installed the TricLed Jump Start Ports today. It's trickle charge season here in Illinois...
I plan to do this with the cupholders and just get the trim rings in red.
Had to go to the dealer yesterday in a nice sunny 45 degrees yesterday which is 35 minutes away. Today it's 40... Perfect day to install a CAI.
And I got my Brake Pressure Switches fixed and the corresponding brake bleed yesterday. No more brake failure light and my cruise control works...
I had a brand new AGM motorcycle battery die on me after 3 years. Biggest culprit is letting it sit (especially in the chicago cold) not connected to my battery tender...

The only one I have personal experience with is Malcolm Smith and I have no complaints. I know an owner who used Coyne and was very dissatisfied
Going strictly by Polaris's levels it would seem that Temecula Motorsports is the highest rated with Malcolm Smith second. I bought my Sling from Malcolm so I will probably keep going there for any service - I know they have all my info and extended warranty info already in their system. If at sometime I decide to try someone else it will be Temecula - - - I may stop and check it out when I go to the Slingshot event in Fallbrook
Where did you get this info? I would like to look up the dealers in my area. Thanks in advance!
