I had a brand new AGM motorcycle battery die on me after 3 years. Biggest culprit is letting it sit (especially in the chicago cold) not connected to my battery tender...

I have been using only Lemon Pledge or Favor to polish the Grasshopper from day one, a secret is to get right at them, do not wait days or weeks. If they have been there for days or weeks, then start out with copious amounts of water.

=O Save the pledge for your furniture, not plastic!!!

For rain repellent, wax the clean windshield with a quality carnauba paste wax, like S100 or whatever you prefer with no cleaners in it.

And PLEASE, use a quality microfiber towel.

I was at my local dealer yesterday, and he was trying to promote it to me. Free the first year, but they are not sure what the dues would be afterwards. It is a "riders club" and the dealers have to apply for them. He was talking about some "level 2 ambassador" status he was obtaining. He also mentioned talking about merging with a Chicago area club (Slingshot Chicagoland on FB). He at least handed me the business card of the guy that runs that group, so not sure if it's legit or not. If there was a benefit, I would join. I asked about discounts, etc. and he wasn't sure. However, they said that this "club" would give them access to larger group rides, track days, and other Polaris promotions

Maybe a little OT from the original post, but Digital Wrench from what I have seen is nothing more than a diag tool that can help the mechanic troubleshoot and resolve issues by reading codes, sensor data, and clearing codes. It also recommends possible solutions paths. Read more here: UserGuide.pdf

Others have reported this as Clutch switch signal / Data Erratic, Intermittent or Incorrect.

Welcome and congratulations to you all. I hope that Willy’s is still alive and well there in Orlando Park. I lived in Homewood from 91-98

Thanks! However, Willy's Wienie Wagon is no more... someone bought it years ago and changed the name. And the food is not the same... :-(

It appears you are correct. I didn't read that far into it. It looked like just a diag tool to me. Looks interesting, but I would be afraid to go in there and play with tuning an ECM without knowing what I am doing. I think I'll leave that to an expert... :)

Help me to understand this....are you saying we can use this plug to read codes and other info from the SS? That said can we purchase the diagnostic component to do this?Or would we still actually need the digital wrench...

I do not have this tool, but from their website it looks like you can buy the J1939 to MEFI6 Scan adapter, and it will hook up to the MEFI6 Scan tool that can do OBD2 and J1939 marine protocol.

Having no experience with this type of tuning....after it’s diagnosis does it offer suggested parameters to be in to optimize engine performance? Giving you the abitlity to fine tune? Or do you need to know what your doing...or trial and error..the settings?

For Example... setting “A” should be between 1.8-4.1 ... you're at 2.1 ...letting you know it’s good..

Setting “B” should be 325 ...you’re at 300 ....letting you know it needs to be adjusted.

It is just a scan/diagnostic tool similar to any other OBD2 tool. It is not an ECU Mapping tool.

LOL! You know, I searched the forums for a guide to detailing the Slingshot and didn't find one. I was going to offer to write one, but it sounds like nobody would use it! :P

@Doc&Ruby - It took me about 7-8 hours. I've been known to spend 2 days detailing a car, so this wasn't too bad. I wanted to get it in a shape that I can just maintain for at least a year with regular washes, some QD, and an occasional wax coating. It's worth it up front. So much easier to clean when you start clean and with protection.

I saw a post on another forum about it possibly being related to a vacuum issue (check all the vacuum lines) or a clutch switch signal being intermittent.
