Any chance this is on the front or back of the Bristol race?
Nascar is 16 -18

We have a pretty good turn out of SS riders come down to Punta Gorda x Ft Myers area. Give us some dates.

Will do. I think it will be in January.
Glad that the worst of the problems was lots of work...many of us are in the same boat. I know at one time you talked about spending a little time in Florida in the winter. We will probably go down again in Jan 2022. two weeks or so.
Absolutely. I told Denise I wanna go far enough South to wear shorts and ride the Slingshot. Not sure where that will be quite yet.
I desperately need to take this time to apologize to all my slingshot brothers and sisters for not communicating. It has been a crazy year filled with the most work I have ever seen in my lifetime. I have communicated with allot of you via text and voice but have neglected this forum waaaaay too long, and for that I apologize. My Slingshot brothers and sisters deserve better. I've said it many times the ride in the Slingshot is great but it doesn't even come close to the experience and the LIFELONG friendships that come from this forum. I got to see some of you this past weekend and it made me realize why I work so hard. Enough of the sappy, now for the happy.
Mayhem in the Mountains 4 will be a week long event. That's right. I'm taking two weekends and a week off. September 26 through October 1 2022. Come early leave late.
Now there are a few that have never been to my house that are a must come in order to make this happen.

Please join me in leaning on these five to get them here in 2022
There will be rides every single day Monday through Saturday. (Too many rides to cram into two days)
I will post the event thread 90 days prior on this forum. Anybody that wants to go ahead and book a room is welcome to do so.
Allot of people have been staying at the Days Inn at 1014 Old Airport Road Bristol Va.
Once again I apologize to my Slingshot family for not being on here.
Thanks for understanding. Tim.
Thank you folks for your kind words.
First post in nearly a year.
Bill Martin Will have to take a rain check for this year. Been in business 49 years and hoping this will be the last year of full time.
Next year finish all jobs and sell or close business. Enjoy your party
I'm with you Harvey. Busiest year of my career. Trying to at least make it to Maggie by Friday.
Here are a few signs with HOUSE RULES at the Flaying Pig Ranch - just so there are no surprises
We know nothing of politics. We got so pissed with our local news 14 months ago we shut the TV completely down. http://www.slingshotinfo.com is the only news we need. Thanks rabtech
Display MoreHello,
Have not posted here for a while. Looks like a great group as usual.
Thanks Mitch for being the sparkplug and making it happen
Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Martin and Cathy
Looking forward to seeing you folks Marty. It's been too long.
NC and VA both classify us at Auto cycles but have different helmet regs!
Understanding governance is harder than understanding women
Well said. For the first time in 20,000 miles I was pulled over by a Tennessee State Trooper last weekend and told to put a helmet on. I would like to say he was a nice guy about it but Momma said: "If you ain't got nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all." I'm pretty sure when he was a kid he wanted a Slingshot and his Momma wouldn't buy him one. I'm pretty sure by his age that was in 2015.
There will be two flames all the way up 58. It'll look like back to the future.
Still coming. You can't run me off. Can't wait.
Display MoreUPDATE AS OF 2/25/2021
I spoke with the young lady who runs the Wine Festival today. She is going to make a final decision next week if the event will go on as planned. Unfortunately with King Ralph's regulations and the ABC rules it makes things complicated. We are trying to work with Social distancing and keeping everyone contained in one area to meet ABC rules. I also stopped by to see the gang at Brewer Cycles and they were eager to put something together for Friday afternoon. They take masks and distancing very seriously so we need to make sure we respect their wishes. I think we may bring back the scavenger hunt that they have run in the past, that will allow everyone to fan out and have some fun.
We are working on an alternative plan for Saturday in case the Wine festival does not pan out. I am going up to https://springfielddistillery.com/ to see if we can set something up. This is a really nice place and the ride up there is fantastic. From there we can have another great ride and then head back to the Flying Pig Ranch for some food / fire and wrenching.
I will look for a place big enough to handle our group for Brunch Sunday most likely here. https://www.thehomesteadsteakhousenc.com/
I will keep ya' all posted
My friend you are working way too hard and you are way to good to all of us. We just wanna come see you and ride. As long as Ralph don't shut the roads and the gas stations down, we'll be just fine.
So you guys are saying no to the French Maid Outfits?
I will never say, "Yes to the dress" and as I have learned to fear for my life, I have learned to say; "No to the Ho"|
Lobster and steak scallops - never heard of that cut of meat but I will reach out to my BBQ guy.
Actually we have a few food related challenges that great BBQ guy is MIA so we are working on alternatives
I was thinking maybe Tim and John in some french maid outfits flippin burgers
I know most of this crowd coming. A roll of bologna and a loaf of light bread will do us all just fine. We will be happy just to get out and see everybody again.
Just made our Reservations! We will be rolling in on Thursday night, the 8th, and rolling home on Sunday, the 11th. I mean, who could pass up the fellowship, good rides, and a steak and lobster dinner at Mitch's. Just throwing that last part out there!!!
Be glad to see you and Velma. It's been too long.

I heard it was scallops too!!!
The only thing I can say is "Go Time"!!!
Well as I slowly crawl out from under the rock I have been working under all winter, we are booked at a cute little Air BnB downtown and will be leaving Friday around noon. Don't know if we are going to trailer in or drive, depends on weather. If we come in on Sling maybe ride over w/ Bill Martin ? Whatcha think Bill? I am so looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
I AM IN. ALL IN.
First of all. I'm not this smart or nowhere near this handy. I had help. More than just help. I was just the monkey that turned the screws.
The hardware has since been painted black.
The tolerances are unreal on this and it doesn't touch anywhere.
I have ran it at 100+ and it holds up really well.
To the couple that made this possible. I know you don't want to be singled out. Once again, thank you so much. I won't say who did it but their Sling is a sweet color.
