Thanks guys! The wire i used is .060 stainless mesh. Long story but i made a duplicator router so i could mold the mesh and i made some blanks from the underside of the removed panel. I routered the contour into the wood blanks and spent some hrs on them making them fit. Made the first mesh insert and molded it with the wood blank and i just couldnt get it to look good no matter how i tried. So i just cut the shape out flat and using zip ties (smallest i could get) i drilled small holes along the bottom edge of the skeleton frame and attached the mesh from the underside molding it to the contour of the frame as i went along. I will take some close ups of the areas when i get a chance
Agreed! That is totally bitchin'. How about a cut day at my house? I'm inconveniently located for most of the country.
i would come out and help cut during the elk season

Hell yeah! I'm running out of partners down here. I killed my 1st solo elk this year. While we're on the subject, are there any opportunities for a Yank to hunt elk or moose in your neck of the woods?
No elk or moose where i live only whitetails. Elk has been a bucket list for me for ever but just never enough time unfortunately. Will have to wait till retirement as holidays are short
If you get serious let me know. There are lots of opportunities for elk down here. Moose is the one on my list. Maybe some of the B.C. boys will speak up.

You're right! The snake skin is very cool and where did you get those killer mag wheels?

You need to put some miles on it to get rid of the rust on the rotors.

his daughters will be old enough in a few yrs and they will make sure the rotors dont rust. MiM is just keeping the milage down so it will still be in good shape (minus a scratch Or two but thats another story) for the girls to enjoy. You would think living with all them girls he would need some wind therapy after working with all the kids at school but life is getting in the way by the looks of it. Someone should go and drag him out once in awhile. Hope you are doing well MIM

Thank you! They are Mickey Thompson SC-5 wheels. Just bought them on ebay individually. 18s up front and a 20 in the rear.
And thanks gooseman , I am doing well and yes, the girls keep me busy.
I do need wind therapy and looking to get some next weekend at 2W2X1 wrench day.
It's been too long!
Here are a few close ups showing the really small zip ties I used to hold the mesh on the hood.
Just got a nice phone call from Bill Hahn - my new shocks are on the way!
Looking forward to the install and road test!
(with photos, of course!)
All done! Calipers covers went on perfect and look great. Also installed the transmission bell housing debris cover and the lock block that prevents someone from opening your hood (easily)... Good day! 😊

I found that on Slingmods. It's the Billet Aluminum Keyed Hood Lock for the Polaris Slingshot (2015-19).
