DDM sway bar install Quick Question

@rabtech sorry for not switching yours over I had no idea you would be able to make it shift around that much. ( I should have known better with you )
I can stress test anything I guess.
I'll put my locks off the stock bar on it before I take it back thru the forest... No worries.... -

I'll put my locks off the stock bar on it before I take it back thru the forest... No worries....You can tell a big difference when you install especially it if you drive aggressively.... It keep the front level in a hard turn. It gets rid of the left and right "diving" feeling when you are on your brakes hard going into or out of a turn.

Maybe not worth the extra $20 to some but be aware the Howe bar clamps are supplied with black oxide hardware while the Energy Suspension units are supplied with stainless steel.
Living on the coast materials used as well as the quality of coatings/surface treatment are always a consideration when I make any purchase.

OK people, the sway bar is centered and Horz./level to the ground, links are adjusted for the small change. The stock sway bar clamps are reinstalled with about 1/16 inch clearance on each side.

If you have sprinkles it helps to add them somewhere during the install...
I bet this jar of RED sprinkles is worth at least 30hp.
Sorry I missed all of the posts on this, but I was at the PRI (Performance Race Industry) show in Indianapolis, finding new goodies for everyone
I have no idea why Polaris left the locks out on the later versions of the Slingshot, but like everyone has figured out the stock sway bar locks will fit our sway bar and also fit on the Alpha version also since both bars use the same outside diameter as the stock bar with a thicker wall to increase stiffness.
Let us know if you have any other questions,
DavePS - please send all sprinkles to DDMworks directly, attn: Dave

Dave@DDMWorks - when bolting on the links, is there a recommended torque setting on the bolts so as to not compress the rubber bushings?

It will only tighten so far, no matter what the torque is, because of the brackets.

My storage building is really messy... It's terrible.
FINALLY FOUND IT.

OH man! I could not stand that. My play room has more in it than I like, to be able to move around and to do stuff. The only way to get more room is get rid of a toy or two and that would be a hard decision. Anyone want a 2013 Harley Softtail Slim? Made up my mind on getting rid of the bike.

The mounts have the poly bushings in them, but you can only tighten those mounts down until the mount touches the frame, so you can not compress the poly mounts too much. The endlinks do not have any rubber bushings in them. Hope that helps.

Thanks, @av8ingtom. I will order today.
@V-SHOT, this is the thread we were discussing.
Both my sway bar and @V-SHOT 's are off center by 2-3", both towards the passenger side. I'm curious why they are off by the same factor - just coincidence? And, is this a "stop ride" condition until I get it recentered and clamped, or what? What effect will it have on the Sling if ridden with the sway bar off center?

It doesn't present a "stop ride" condition. An off-center Sway Bar still continues to work as it was designed. Before you ask, no, it does not create added stress on the shortened side. Given its nature of operation, if stop collars are not installed, the Sway Bar WILL adjust (slide) to one side or another...depending on the driver's tendencies. Harder left-hand turns result in the Sway Bar settling to the right. Vice-versa for right-hand turns, as well. An off-center Sway Bar will not throw the Sling out of balance or anything like that, but the installation of the stop collar is still highly desirable. Notice I didn't say "recommended" or "necessary". It's just an added feature that will lend itself more to the beneficial side. This help?

Totally true! Did you see how much Rabtech's slid over. Buy a set of collars.
