Any recommended engine lift points, from the PRO?
I think Dave just lifts them out by hand, being the superhero he is...
Just out of curiosity, I did look in the Polaris service manual to see what they said, which isn't much sadly...
But that's only after he has his mega dose of sprinkles for his super powers to kick in.

If not using the lift brackets we have, we lift by the 2 - M8 bolt holes on the exhaust side of the engine above cylinder #1 and #4 exhaust ports on that side of the engine. Then use one of the M8 bolts on the front of the engine towards the driver side just above the alternator, lastly the M8 bolt on the back of the cylinder head where the EVAP purge solenoid is mounted.
Any advice on how to pull the old transmission shaft BEARING out?
Not wanting to step on Dave's toes, but you have a couple of choices. This tool is what you need to make the job easy. You can buy a cheap one at Harbor freight for about $20, or check one of auto parts stores that have a tool loaner program. If you're unable to find either, here's an oldie but trick way to do the job. Find yourself a dowel that is the correct size (or even a couple of mm smaller.) Then try packing the hole in the bushing with grease. Carefully press the dowel inside the hole and hammer it which fores the grease to hydraulically force the old bushing out. Hope this helps until Dave sees your posts and corrects me
Never had one of those fancy gadgets but used that ol'e home remedy many times. It works like a charm, just make sure your neighbor isn't home to see you cutting that perfect size dowel off their prize shrub bush and you'll be fine!

We have stock lift mounts here that we have removed from some of the engine cores that have come in over the years. I will get some pictures on Monday and post them up for you.

Here is what one of the lift brackets looks like that can mount to the front of the cylinder head -
Here is how we typically lift an engine out though -
The cherry picker we use has 4 straps on it, 2 of them go to the M8 bolt holes on the exhaust side of the cylinder head.
One bolt goes through the M8 bolt hole on the front/driver side of the cylinder head -
The lastly we put a M6 bolt through the intake side of the cylinder head We have an oversized washer to make sure the bolt does not slide through.
We have lifted a lot of engines out that way and works like a charm.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Dave
