You still need to find a gas station.

Well, day 2 down. 650 miles from WI through MN to SD, 11.5 hrs on the road. @Ross and I departed WI in the gloaming, and we picked up @exharleyrider in MN. Western MN and South Dakota was just wearying, glad we're done for the day.
Tomorrow the speed miles stop and the sightseeing commences. Badlands National Park, The Needles Highway, on to Spearfish Canyon, ending an hour outside Cody WY. Departure from Murdo, SD early enough to enter the Badlands around dawn.
Met up with Randy!
I've seen SD. I'm good now.
@lrobbi, loving this footrest!

Epic Journey gentleman!
Keep the shinny side up! -
Just got home from 3 days at an extended family reunion (41 strong) and am just now starting to pack for my journey to Montana to meet the boys in the Panty Dropper Posse. Pics to come.

Keep rolling guys, many memories and good times being made and enjoyed.

Something else, too....I realized tonight (and mentioned at dinner) that in 2 days and 1500 miles (three days and 1650 miles if you count my "rest" day) I haven't seen a single other Slingshot except for those I am hanging out with. Pretty sad.
-
@KayTwo bought a cow in MN to bring back with him .... looks crazy as hell dragging behind him on the interstate but is actually more aerodynamic than the Slingshot - @sideseatdriver is going to be to surprised
-
nice ride today - pretty plain scenery compared to what we will have soon
A large field filled with sunflowers
The road was definitely straight and flat
Hay bales
And more bales
Not a bad trip. Time was good (this includes gas and food stops). Average speed is nice and high with a 80MPH speed limit
-
I've driven thru the Badlands every time I have been that way and at one time lived in Sioux Falls. The view of the Badlands depends entirely on the sun. I hope you have a great trip thru and enjoy the scenery. Hopefully you will have a chance to see Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse sculpture, and make a pass thru Deadwood.

In my travels, sightings have been very rare. When I do see one, I grin from ear to ear.

Y'all should be able to eat at least half of that before you're home. Probably going to need to find a meat locker next door to a gun locker before you cross the border. They're still concerned about mad cow disease and that cow is definitely going to be mad...

That top is awesome! Keep on keeping on... Stay safe!
And how's Heather with the kiddos so far?

@KayTwo : "Who? With what?"
Update: I spent the night packaging a new batch of red rear plates, some new front grilles and kickplates and a couple luggage racks. Tomorrow morning I pack the Sling, head to my jobsite to meet with the contractor installing my quartz countertops, then hit the road to Wallace, ID for the night. Then on to Great Falls, MT on Wednesday to meet the Posse. I decided not to do a marathon run because...because... well, because I don't have to. Oh yeah, and I'm not 25 anymore. Looking forward to some alone time on the road and even more to meeting new friends. It's going to be EPIC! Rock and Roll!

There's a lot to be said for not doing things you don't have to.
There's also a lot to be said for doing things that you don't have to, but are pretty cool anyways.
There's my philosophy for you at 0410 local. Sorry, it sucks. Too many fortune cookies as a kid. That Confucius guy was an asshole.

Jesus, the alarm went off early this morning. Actually, Ross woke me up a couple minutes before the alarm. So, here we are. Truck stop breakfast.
