I always wondered why Polaris didn't use a V-6. My Solstice Turbo had 300 HP.
Agree. Even a NA V6 should offer around 270 HP based on commonly used Ford or Nissan V6's.

I believe my wife's 2.0 liter 4cyl 07' GXP is rated at 260hp. Pretty neat little car. I was driving it the other day and noticed it was over 6kmiles now. She's almost worn it out! lol
I have a Kia Sorento with a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter turbo - it produces 240HP & 260 lb-ft of torque (& that max torque is produced at 1450 rpm)

The stock 2.0L was rated at 260Hp crank, the GMPP upgrade was rated at 290Hp crank. The stock 260hp car typically put 215-220hp at the wheels, the GMPP tune put around 255hp at the wheels. Most tunes we did would put the power around 290-300hp at the wheels with supporting mods and that is basically where the little K04 turbo ran out of steam.
Really - what can you make a 2.4 with a DDM turbo and a Haltech do - Just askin?
One more night in South Carolina. I left Dave setting up the quiet exhaust and also my boost operated straight dump pipe.
Dave will finish the exhaust tonight. Then first thing in the morning it will be on the dyno.
I will have the trailer tilted and ready to load it up and strap it down when it's tuned....

We will know very soon
Just to be clear I am not talking about the Panda!
Looking nice Rab, Shack (borgy boy) will have to give you some pointers on the BW turbo.

Chevy's 3.6L NA V6 has about 320HP +/- depending on the vehicle
We will know very soon
And I thought y'all would be doing less work in house... I guess after Rab...

So... I mentioned it in another thread... But I believe a prediction I made is becoming true...
I spied something on a certain social media platform...
Well? Been quiet for a while now. Update please.
I don't know what I should say at this point. It is the strongest and smoothest it's ever been. We JUST now finished everything and have been road testing it...
Dave's wife's birthday is tonight so he needs to head out and I have been here for 6 DAYS so I want to go home. I have 5 to 6 hours of driving ahead of me. We will play on the dyno soon. But not today. I just want to get it home tonight. I promise I will do some videos of it soon. Maybe this weekend.
This engine is the quietest one i have ever heard. It makes 0 noise. It's so quiet you can hear the belt on the pulleys.. And the turbo makes HUGE HUGE turbo noises. Its beyond anything I can say with words. I will promise you that when its spooling you can hear it 1/4 mile away.... and when you let off the gas and it belches from the turbo and blow off valve it makes the loudest sexiest noises you have ever heard. I have never heard another (not even a vehicle) with a turbo that is this vocal. Dave said he had big plans. He was not kidding. I think he has some background on what all is installed and what power I should be making... And one last thing... The automatic transmission is pretty much the ticket when your putting down power. It's so much smoother taking off and it shifts in less than a 10th of a second. So you don't break loose from making the manual shift to the next gear. I'm headed home. I'm 306 miles from my doorstep.
Like I said. If it isn't raining i will put some cameras on it weekend and I'll make sure I keep them out of the wind so they won't crackle.
Have a safe trip getting back home. Be careful as I am sure you pushed yourself and are tired.
Safe travels!
Safe travels my friend. You have my number.
be safe.... looking forward to october!
Made it home last night. She is still on the trailer under the carport. It started raining 5 minutes after I got home.. maybe it will clear up this afternoon....
