I'm bringing this thread to light again, because I need help! And money! Lol...
I've had paint/wrap quotes go up and down...
The best quote has come from someone awesomely talented and he happens to frequent this forum...
If the money was there, no hesitation, I'd be driving the first chance I got to Indiana... Sadly, I'm on a budget... So...????
Now I'm thinking the AMR Graphics like @WOLF used on his first Sling... Or, and please don't bash me... Maaco?!? Going to try getting a quote from them. $299 special?
Really, I don't mind the base gray and would have probably just bought simple graphics from @robert.piner or @slingmods... But... I bought the Sling used and it had pinstriping painted. Add to it my OCDness and noticing the pinstriping wasn't the most professional it seems. There's purple smudges everywhere on the gray, on the black plastic (not really everywhere, but to me it seems like it), and some of it isn't symmetrical or lined up appropriately.
I know, I'm probably crazy... But thoughts or referrals to someone local in Houston is appreciated! Thanks to @DKF Texas for pointing me to some people local, but still out of budget...

@MiM, I got a cheap paint job! I'd rate my paint job about a 3, meaning from 3 ft or more it looks OK. Closer than 3 ft and you can see the flaws. As long as people look at it from a distance or at least no too closely, people seem to think it looks nice. I've only had a few people comment on the paint. I asked around the Spring area at several different places and got estimates ranging between $1500 up to $3K. PM me if you want more info or pics of my paint job.
If you have OCD, you're NOT going to be happy with anything less than immaculate! Save your money and get the best paint job you can afford. Also, you may find some painters who want to just paint the panels in place on the vehicle. This might work using a flexible coating like DIP, but I wouldn't recommend it for hard paints since the body pieces aren't permanently fastened to each other like a typical car and the vibrations of the pieces against each other may well cause problems.
If you're doing it locally and are willing to take the body apart yourself, you should hopefully save significantly as most painters have never done a Slingshot disassembly. You should be able to save even more if you pre-sand the pieces. There are several threads on body disassembly on the old site (haven't looked here). If you have access to a pickup or large SUV, you should be able to easily carry all the parts. I went to Goodwill and bought a few used bedspreads to protect the various pieces. -
Awesome advice @BKL! I am more than willing to disassemble thanks to @Painters awesome videos! Already did it once to spray peel coat myself, but wasn't happy with it. Become even more obsessed when I'm doing the work...
I might be okay if someone else does it... Might not
Anyway, please send me more info in a conversation! And pictures! Hopefully you paid less than a grand... Because the graphics kit I'm considering is about $600.
