@Autocycle SL Yes. Change them out. Some have had to drill them out to get them off. Slingmods.com has them, as well as Slingshotonly.com, along with many other places I'm sure. But beware.... once you visit those places, IT BEGINS!!!
Slingshot almost owner.

I guess I'll try changing it on the ground also. On another note are you guys changing out the lug nuts your slings came with? Read hear that they are a soft metal from factory?
@Autocycle SL - Check this thread. Lug nuts are terrible. Change them while you can.

My dealer has them on sale...here's a blue one...
2017 Slingshot Slingshot SL Motorcycles Chicora Pennsylvania

I had several lug nuts loose the other day. I'm embarrassed to say I hadn't really checked them.

Welcome to the madness. Be prepared for your wallet to cry harder than it does initially purchasing the Slingshot. I hardly ever see a stock slingshot owned longer than 6 months. The options for customization are endless pending you have the funds.
if you put the ramps behind the front tires, you can back up on to them to change the oil.
Yup, exactly how I lift my SS in a pinch. I back up on a single ramp too if I just need the rear up.

Ummmm... Can I take the 5th?
HELL NO!!!!!
Not an entirely bad decision
You're back pedaling again!!!

HELL NO!!!!!
Well in that case... The list is long and distinguished.

Now I'm in trouble!! Slingmods has a set but Slingshotonly didn't offer any? What are you using for torque values for these?

@Bigdog I asked my dealer about getting a navy blue one and he could get it but wouldn't give me the 3000.00 discount. I'm going with a Black 2017 SL. Lots of accent colors for black also. Leaning towards a silver accent decals? Going back on Saturday AM for a longer test ride in his demo. Most likely put a deposit on it.

Oh yea I have a question on receiving notifications for a thread. I like the notification bar on the top of the page to let me know that someone replied but don't like getting e-mails for every post. I turned off all e-mails for conversations and forum. How do you set your account up for posting and not missing posts? Also I haven't seen anywhere for sending PM's?

I think $3000 would be worth coming down here to drive it home...it's the one you really want... $3000 will buy a lot of modifications

I thought Slingshotonly would have them also, sorry I mentioned them. @mytoy posted a set above, might be worth looking into. I got mine at Slingmods. They work great, and come with a special tool you need to carry with you in the SS along with a driver. I have a 3/4 inch breaker bar behind my seat to go with the driver. It's there, along with a tool kit I originally put together for one of my two Harleys, but sold one to help with the Slingshot. From memory only, I was thinking 75 foot pounds for the lug nuts.... not near my manual. @Tripod I'm sure you can help here....
As for the Slingmods lug nuts, I'd go with black. I got the red. Looked good at first, but fades in the sun. Black will too, but easier to spray later to look nice enough. That's why I would look into the ones Mytoy posted, might be a better set up.
I'd just as soon have polished Stainless Steel and look like a lug nut. Personally....

The 'conversation' button on top bar...I'll send a pm....

75 lb-ft is correct for wheel lug nuts.
Don't forget, I posted ALL torque specs here:
