Is that a plug in the battery compartment panel?
Bottom pictireThat's their soon to be released electric version. They have to keep it plugged in because that half battery they put in the newer models only goes 1 mile.
-
They install that for the shows so they can have everything powered up all day without draining the battery.
-
When I built competition car audio show cars we had to build them capable to hook up to a plugged in power supply. We usually made them able to plug in behind a tire so you couldn't see the power supply.

the metrics one is 990 and IMHO this doesn't look any worse than that
But materials?

But materials?
Is not plastic....so I call that a win

anyone know how this mounts on the right side? It has to mount somewhere to the rear swingarm.
Polaris site says needs 305 kit? huh? the 305 wheel kit on the polaris site is just the 305 tire and new wheels (all 3 I think).
So I am guessing it mounts to the shock lower mount?

$800 for a fender that looks like it came off of an ATV, provides no frontal protection so dirt still gets slung all over the rear panels?! No thank you...
-
Yeah that's a no for me as well. Polaris is failing to impress me on the aftermarket game.

Mostly. I will say their Velocity Sport seats were a win for us.

Blow up the right and left side pictures...the right side mounts to the shock bracket and the back mounts to the swing arm.....

And they've got their wires crossed , their traditional body styling is all new, way out there, and Vanderhalls is old school , wooden boat cruiser style , and now they add on a rear fender design that would be far more in tune with the Vanderhall. WTF!

Those seats look and feel nice, but they are thicker and push the rider forwards in the Sling. At least the ones in the SLR I sat in did. That means even less leg room and closer to the steering wheel for me. I didn't want to drop the $$, but that's why I just ordered the PRP Gen II seats for mine. The upper portion is nearly 2" thinner, letting me have more room. I'll also be looking to see if there is anyway I can move the bottom of the seat back on the install also. That would keep the angle of the seat back the same, and give me even more additional leg room.
I still think Polaris should make a Slingshot XLT version. Additional 3" in the frame towards the rear, lengthen the drive shaft, and give some of the taller riders true comfort.

I would trade Azure in today for an XLT, even if it was in the ugly red color.
