I am planning on making at least one of the Texas Hill Country events. If someone buys a kit, but decides not to install themself, I will install it for them with the cost of the kit offsetting to an installation labor charge.

Woohoo! See you in April or May then...

I just came across this thread, not sure how I missed it.
I'm in for a set when available

These buttons are absolutely the best mod I've done. I agree.... a must have! No more "Flapping Fenders"!

Thank you @Painter, I have done installs directly from your recommendations.

I live about 3/4 mile from the highway and the gravel road getting to it is really bad washboard. I'm assuming that these would thelp keep my hood from doing the jitter bug? If so, put me on the list too please. No real rush on my part. I'm having surgery in a week and my Slingshot will be on blocks for the next five months or so until spring. Just get better, wish you and the Mrs a full recovery

Thoughts & prayers headed your way for your upcoming surgery & recovery...

Thanks Tripod, it's not a big surgery, I have to get my other wrist fused due to RA. Now I'll have both wrists fused. I'll be like a crab trying to work on stuff, lol

I believe the Fender Buttons will stop the jitterbug and they do stand up to a lot of abuse. The best to you next week and wish you the best recovery. Thanks for thoughts, I am doing great, the Mrs is well but still dealing with some issues.

Take it from someone who enjoys abusing his SS - yes that is because I hang with @rabtech. They were by far one of my best investments. No longer does it look like I am on the Dumbo ride at Disneyland.
Thank you @mniron it was very lucky chance meeting at SSITS
@Solow heal up quickly so we can ride!

Can I get some pics?

Can I get some pics?
There are a few pics in the first two pages of this thread, but these are the buttons @MACAWS has on his hood, if you have seen those.

Well now I'm confused where does the $299.99 price tag come from?
Just checked ebay nothing remotely close to that price. -

Just checked ebay nothing remotely close to that price. Not sure where you heard a $299.99 price tag. Kits will be far less, installed prices in the first ones were half that. Installed prices will need to be adjusted for a vendor site.
I am no way price gouging, if someone believes that I am then they have the right not to purchase.

It will be the hot thing now. Small guy doing it the only way he could. Exposure here will really go a long way for him. The problem is that it has to be an existing product. Unless he has covered his IP someone will replicate it.
I have seen similar products for hoods but his has some differences that may allow him to do a utility patent exclusively for the Slingshot. Hard to say because of how similar it is to the other product. Didn't catch what he was charging but the Automotive version is around $299 a set.
No way brother just needed clarification of the above post. All is good.....cause I'm interested.
