If you do this, make sure you measure how far in the bearing is seated from the outside edge of the bearing housing before you remove the old bearing. There is no stop for the bearing to seat against, and if you just kept driving the bearing in, you'd be screwed. Just take your time, measure often when seating the new bearing, and don't panic, you'll do fine.
Once you get the old bearing out, measure the distance from the outer edge of the bearing to the center groove in the bearing. Add that measurement to the measurement you got from the outer edge of the bearing housing to the outer edge of the old bearing, and that distance is where you'll still the hole for the zerk.

Too many questions. Yes, it's a stupid oversight by Polaris/GM, and I'd be willing to bet that 99% of us has installed one on ours. No sense asking for problems. Especially when it's an easy fix.

Just my .02 cents. I use Turtle Ice car wash and Turtle Ice wax. Although it doesn't make the black parts turn white, on the seats and dash I use Wizards Vinyl shine and protected. I live on a gravel road and it doesn't attract dish as much as some of the other products I've used.

Not sure what you mean, but you can use the wire from the brake light to trigger a relay for an accessory. That's how it's done on the trailer harness. Not a big deal, unless you already fried something. On the relay, pins 30 and 85 are hot, pin 86 would go to your brake light and pin 87 would go to power your acessory.

Yep, the brake lights run off a ground, as opposed to every other light being positive. As far as the brake light switch itself, polarity doesn't matter.

There really isn't anything to wear out. It's a magnetic switch. The end of the brake pedal looks like a blade. That blade moves in a slot at the brake switch, which triggers the brake lights to be either on or off. When the pedal is at rest the blade causes the circuit to be complete. Stepping on the brake pedal breaks the circuit, causing the brakes yo light up. The is a slotted portion of the switch that the hold down screw passes through, maybe all you would have to do is loosen the screw and slide the whole switch forward (towards the radiator). I don't really remember if there is a long enough slot there or not, but worth looking into. In my opinion, your best bet would be to get rid of the oem switch and replace it with the Napa one.

I just installed the "NAPA" conversion on a friend of mines Sling. We had just completed installing a Wicked hitch, and I made the trailer harness for it. We were checking the harness pigtail to double check that I had done it right, and lo and behold, the brake lights stayed on. Who knows how long it's been doing that, but I figured I'd make it right. I did mine a couple of years ago, so it was a piece of cake this time around.

Man did I wander onto the WRONG forum!! Just looking at all you panty-waists beating up on one of the few girls on site. Figures I make a comment about the apparent lack of testosterone on this site and I get back-talked by one of the one's with a million postings and only 520 miles on his Slingshot. Why don't you post a PIC of your Slingshot with the PINK street-effect lights and your Hilary Bumper Sticker. This forum is a waste of Hyper-space. Yeah the TV"s broke and there ain't a rock big enough for me to crawl under in sight. ASSHOLES....hope a Big Rig don't see you and sends you into a bean-field. And you're not fooling anyone...us real guys know you're wearing your wife's panties under your stitched pocket jeans.First afternoon and last time at this joke factory. You all need to learn MYOB-YLL. LATER ON, I'll be the one in the Right-Burn Lane waiting for the green>>>>

Yeah, if you don't have anything to show, you might as well just crawl off. I didn't expect anything different from a gas-bag.

NK has an extensive tunnel network. The chances of us taking out their weaponry , without making the country a big hole in the earth, are slim. If we to attack, South Korea would probably be north Korea's first target on the list. It's also my understating that if we went nuke, the fallout would flow to Japan. And because in order to truly be effective the nukes wouldn't be air bursts but rather penetration/ground bursts. This would cause the fallout to be dirty. Just my .02

I wouldn't push or want anyone to try and quit what makes them happy. That's like someone asking/telling me to give up riding motorcycles. It's not going to happen. If you try please talk to your wife, kids, neighbors, and coworkers cause with no/low nicotine you will turn into an evil evil person for a while. Trust me I have nightmares of when my dad stopped snuff, chew, and smoking pipes (not Crack pipes either). Please be nice he isn't with us anymore.

I agree, but I need back surgery and they won't do it if I smoke. I know it's for my own good so I can't get too upset with them.

I drink 8-10 bottles of Coke a day and people tell me all the time, "you gotta quit or you will have kidney stones". Guess what I'm 41 and still haven't had them(knock on wood). My wife is in the medical field and she said "quit when you want not cause people tell you that you should". I quit drinking Coke every night, then I start again in the morning.

Yeah I'm the same way, just diet Pepsi. I think, (honestly) that I picked some kinda phobia while I was in the service about going thirsty. I could build a mighty fine vehicle out of all the aluminum from the cans. Including the engine! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm 100% service connected disabled, so my insurance is the VA. And they've taken good care of me for the last 35yrs.
