I sure do hope he can get out of his faster than I can get out of mine.
-
Not sure what they're going to use it for, but if it's going to actually do some high speed work, those wheels and tires are a stupid choice for a serious police vehicle.

most meter maids I have seen wouldn't be able to get in and out of it.
If I were the chief, I would give it to someone who knew how to drive it, and it would be a local Interceptor, not necessarily the highway, but the roads in and around town.

Guess it has been some time since you took a subway in Brooklyn
-
Since it doesn't have AC I'm sure that most of the normal patrol officers don't want it but I bet there are a bunch of bicycle cops that'd love to have it. jes sayin

.
It will never see service ...just a public interaction prop and most likely just on loan to the jurisdiction ..... even having the wheel companies logo on the fin violates state law if it is registered as an official vehicle ....
.....

It’s not meant to chase bad guys. Its a PR exercise for kids and the community to relate with the police.Methinks not a bad idea.

Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department, said that the vehicle was not purchased with any taxpayer money.
The Slingshot that was donated by POLARIS to be used as a head-turning vehicle for community outreach.
"We're going to interact with the community with it,""Let's say we go into the Overtown area and just drive it around, and have the kids play with the lights and siren, take pictures with it, sit in the driver's seat."
"
This car is beautiful. The car is perfect,” Miami Police Chief Jorge Colina said during the presentation. “This is going to be an icebreaker for us. I think it's mostly a publicity stunt. Something to show off and put in parades. Cops like to play too.
