They are killing these shrubs.
Anyone know what these worms are called
-
-
I don't know what their called but High yield dormant spray will kill them.
-
Bag worms
-
Now that looks like a catastrophic failure of the leaves
-
They look like what we called bag worms. Hard to see in the picture though.
Psychidae - Google Search -
Leave em on long enough and they will kill the entire bush, tree.

Is it just me? For some people this forum has become a google equivalent rather than a focus for information on our great slings.
Slingshot/Bagworminfo.com? I can mostly deal with derailed threads and differences of opinion but please folks, give us a break.
I hope there is no limit on threads that can be ignored or posters blocked. -

I have no problem helping someone out who asks a question in the "other than slingshots" part of the forum. It's just being neighborly. I find nothing wrong with that. Now on the other hand if your neighbor comes over to your house and says "what's in your mailbox" feel free to punch him out.

I was also curious about the freaky bugs. Nothing wrong with posting a legit query in the appropriate section. And this was in the correct spot. So y'all take a second breath and calm down...
As for how to kill them... I have found gasoline and a strike anywhere match works pretty good for just about all bugs and creepy stuff.

Yea, but liquid seven won't kill the shrub

My Dad used to make my brother and me pick those off the shrub and put them in a can and burn them when we were kids. Every time my wife has suggested one of those shrubs they love I remind her of that. I refuse to have one of those shrubs in my yard! Bad memories!

Ha! That would be considered child abuse by today’s standards! I don’t mind at all seeing posts like this...just being neighborly.

More like animal cruelty...We need a humane worm trap

Not sure what all those worms are called but the one in the upper left is Fred.

I hope there is no limit on threads that can be ignored or posters blocked. The only problem is Google doesn’t have a method of interpreting a picture you post and furnishing an answer.
