Anyone else get a call from an 800 number saying it's Polaris? I picked up, and got an automatic recording that said "Stand by for a message from Polaris." I had too much shit going on, and I hate robocalls, so I hung up. Wondering now if they'll call back. Anyone get a similar call?

Yes and I called them. The message was about recalls. I haven't had time to take mine in for the grommet inspection. Told them I got the recall notice and notice about the recall notice and the notice about the notice about the recall notice and that I don't need a call to remind me. Lady was real pleasant to speak with and she said she would put a note in the file that I am aware of it and so is my dealer. I was surprised they actually called about it.

I have to say, it is pretty cool that Polaris makes the effort to have bilingual customer service reps so they can take care of their Canadian customers.

I, a fellow Canuck, didn’t get the grommet call. But then I took it to a dealer for them to confirm my grommets were in place. However it ticked me off that I called Polaris prior to going to the dealer (about 2 hours away) and told them (a) I checked and found the grommets to be in place after the swingarm recall replacement and (b) that the swingarm replacement was done by Cycle Springs and that they wisely put the old grommets in the new swingarm. But no, Polaris wouldnt’t accept my word on this matter. So I did a road trip one sunny day (in Nova Scotia) to the nearest dealer for them to waste their time confirming what I already told Polaris. I suppose it makes sense for them to need an in house confirmation, but it ticked me off at the time. Maybe I was having a cranky day!!

First, it's not considered a robocall if it's from a party you're doing business with. (It might be a nuisance, but one can opt out). Second, if you want to know if the grommets are in place, just look! There are pictures on previous posts on where to look.

I meant in terms of there was no interaction with a human being.

I got a call about the recall today, too. I know the plugs are there, but if I eve go back to the dealer for service, I plan on letting them bill Polaris for the inspection so I can get the recall sticker, assuming they still give those out.

I stand corrected. I guess my take was one can't call it unsolicited.

Well crap here I sit in the hospital and would love to talk to Polaris. No call.

Just to reiterate from a previous thread: There is also a threaded hole on top of the swingarm (at least in my 2015) just to the left of the belt as you look from the rear. It seems this opening should be plugged also to be consistent in keeping the interior of the swingarm clean. I just used a stainless threaded bolt and a rubber washer.
