Somehow my SS has developed a very noticeable right side gap between the hood and the lower nose. I don’t see any elongated holes at the hood-hinge bolts. Nor any bent hardware. Before I tear into it, is there an easy fix I am not seeing?

Here are a couple of pics. I used double sided 3M emblem tape and some zip ties to hold them in place. The plastic was from a local sign shop (I don’t recall specifically what it was called) and some rattle can paint for plastic gave the colour.

I installed Kruiser Kaddy drink holders. It tool a bit of fabbing some clamps, but they are easy to reach but out of the elbow hitting area!!

Sorry - no diy writeup. But it is easy. There will be an RCA connector at the rear for the camera to plug into. At the dash, one of the wires from the camera’s RCA plug (I don’t recall which color and my SS is still stored) goes as a video feed to your stereo/screen. The other wire would go to one of the load poles on the spdt rocker. If you also have a front camera its video feed would also go to the stereo/screen while its power lead would go to the other load pole on the rocker switch. The center (supply) pole on the rocker switch will be connected (ideally) to a switched (when the ignition is on) power supply. The camera and screen amperage requirements are so low I’m sure any available circuit in the dash would work. I used the one that powers the radio. I cannot remember whether or not ground circuits are required so check that detail. I’m in my living room in still cool Nova Scotia writing this. Hopefully I didn’t forget any critical details!!

I have a 2016 base and added a $15 camera (Amazon) and viewed it on a single din stereo with a popup screen. I did use a rocker switch to activate it tho rather than use the reverse light circuit as a trigger. It works fine. Adding a front one would be easy. Could activate it using the unused pole on the same rocker (spdt) switch.

While Optima might be pretty good, but expensive, I suggest checking out other AGM batteries such as those sold by Rural King. Far less $$, and based upon my experience so far, it works just fine! The same tray as for Optima works. I used a group 34, but I read there are other sizes that fit a bit better.

I was able to mount switches on the left side of the console and not need a special mount. Surely they could also be installed on the right side if more were needed.

Hey EJ! Merry Christmas to you folks. No, we are wintering at home in NS this winter. Brrrr. Not used to snow and cold anymore after several winters in Fl. But we did book an apartment in Portugal for Feb and Mar so I won’t be suffering too long. Downside - cannot take the SS with me. At least not within my budget!!! Happy New Year - and thanks for checking with me!!
