@slingmods??? ^^^^

That's the gen 1 and gen 2. The gen two has a removable memory foam seat cushion and a bit different shape. They also sit a bit higher than the gen 1 seats in my experience. I have the gen 1 in my sling.
Best I can tell the gen 2 are a bit more comfy and a bit better looking. The gen 1 seems to hug better in the turns.
Of course much of that is opinion based.

That's a good evaluation of the seats. I have the gen 1 in mine and the other half has the gen 2.
I prefer the gen 1 because it sits lower and the back cradles you better.
The ability to customize the gen 2 makes it appealing, but you do sit about 2 inches higher and move around a bit in the turns.
Sit in each one if you can before you buy to see which one you like. They are both quality seats you won't regret. -
I tried the gen 1 and gen 2 at SSITR and I liked the Gen 1 more for overall comfort.
-
After sitting in both I like gen 1 for comfort and less problem when it rains.

I can second that. My gen 1's have been in multiple downpours.

@rydahog Yes the suspension seats are "gen 1" and the bottom of the seat is not easily removable. The SS seats are "gen 2" with a different stitch layout compared to "gen 1," also with the SS seats they are memory foam, and the bottom of the seat has Velcro on it so you could easily remove it when you are not in the vehicle.

Vary happy with Gen 1

Hey @slingmods I have a question while were on the topic. What's the deal with the heated seat option. Does the seat base and back come heated it doesn't say anywhere that I could find. My second question is with the gen2 seat how is the base heated and still removable. Do you have to unplug it to remove it? That ones been bugging me figures what the heck might as well ask.
Thanks

You say the Gen 1 is lower. Do you mean lower than the stock seat?

I think they're a touch lower than stock.
-
About 1 inch lower than stock and 2 to 3 inches lower than the Gen 2.

@Slingshot Garage Heating element would be both in the bottom and the backing. There is a plug that you could unplug it for removal of the seat bottom. There is a tiny bit of slack in the wire but still recommended to unplug it before moving it.

Adam, I struggled with this choice a long time before I chose the gen 1. The gen 2 I felt looked better and sportier but the gen1 just felt more comfortable to me. I know there have been volumes written on all forums about the two seats and the differences between the two. Bottom line both are much better than the stock seats I hope this helps lol

That's exactly how I feel. I like the looks of the gen 2 better. Just not what I want in a seat.

Took some time to get use to my sport buckets but I'll take performance (holding me in place) over comfort. I'd rather have both
-
I have the Gen 2 and love the way they seem to hold you and the 4" of memory foam in the cushion doesn't hurt either... Love mine

Too low for me on either one then. I do not want to be looking thru the windshield

So Tim, you'd rather have them built for speed rather than for comfort?
