Happy Birthday EJ!! Hope your having an awesome day
Here's a review goes over the new changes some
I did find the inserts for the front. Parts list still not available for headlights.
Looks like they have 2 versions of fillers tho. One with lights and one without.
Couldn't agree more SlingLow
Too many times companies will purposely design stuff so you have to buy thier stuff only.
I imagine they've already got a factory turbo done or in the pipeline. It's kinda like flipping the middle finger at the aftermarket companies that jumped on board and supported your product from the beginning. Now they gotta start all over with an unknown entity.
And really why would you get an aftermarket turbo when you could get one from the factory with a warranty.
Feel bad for the suppliers
Love the new headlights although looks like the Canadian model doesn't get them. That ones got me scratching my head. Lol
That and they dropped the base model in canada last year. Entry level slingshot is the sl up here 33499.00. Think thier really shouting themself in the foot there not having a base model.
My 2 cents lol. Must be the cold making me grumpy
Thank you so much for the all Birthday wishes.
Having a pretty great day. Been busting butt working on the house addition and getting all ready for the shop addition as well. Walls showed up yesterday and been spending the day watching the walls fly in. Weather is great today actually just on the plus side so just couldnt be happier.
The Slingshot Garage will be a little bigger..... so excited.
Indeed I think everyone should have a little pssssht in thier lives it's good for the soul. I was only teasing
Much love brother. Um... ya... please dont beat me up at slingfest next year I'm just a little fella.
Thanks guys!! Appreciate it!! We put a ton of work into making it a lot of fun. Would be nice to get some vendors up here. Guarantee you would have a great time. It's a different kind of event more about the slingshot family.
Didnt want to burst Jim's bubble about NA mods. He doesn't think turbos are the way to go lol. So thanks for clearing that up again Kyle. And Kev get ur butt out here already you won't regret it.
Thanks again
Mark
The Official 2019 Slingfest video.
Will make album public soon so you can grab any photos that you want.
newspaper article in the Sundre roundup following slingfest.
Thanks for the positive review!! Super happy you enjoyed yourself.
Really makes the effort worthwhile to hear that folks had a good time. Shawna and I love to spoil people and do these types of events.
Yes sir speed was in Mph
so who won the drags? Times? Speeds?
That would be our very own Doug Neal took top honors. Oh crap are we allowed to use real names lol. SlingLow layed a smack down on the bunch guy has some skills. I ran a bunch of times just for fun then parked and watched them go. Was fun watching them Duke it out. Doug was really fast off the line had excellent reaction time better than anyone I'm pretty sure. Even came from behind to win once. Everyone got individual time slips so of course they kept them I didnt get a list of all the times lol. He can tell ya or post a pic of his winning slip. Speeds were in between 65 and 70ish mph tho.
Was a bunch of fun for sure and the times just kept getting faster and faster.
Dates are already set for next year hope you can make it.
Hopefully we dont need any rain gear lol. It's been nice this week and theres a small chance of rain on Saturday so hopefully we are blessed with a good one.
We can hook them up anyways we got brand new Polaris rain gear as prizes lol. Several sets I might add.
Gonna miss you fellas this year.
Paper article prior to Slingfest
Maybe zip around the driver and or passenger and pop the cup holders out during cold weather and heat the cockpit
Absolutely... frickin... brilliant!!!!!
Anything that extends the season here up north is totally worthwhile.
It's hard to drive with boots and a snowsuit lol.
Yep... Been on the list sense the day I got the sling. I have owned a number of British sports cars. I have even found the correct fasteners that match the SlingShot. The big question has to do with the SlingShot owner. Would they be willing to drill and mount the required fasteners.
What about some strategically placed velcro. Black blends in well and totally removable if necessary. Or velcro straps.
Me dunno if it was cool I'd be drilling the holes lol. Black fasteners in the black plastic wouldn't stand out too bad either.
I used some good velcro to attach the back seat to my ATV rack some years back and it's still hanging in there like a champ. Used the soft side on the rack so when the seat is removed you dont have the prickly rough side to scratch you.
If anyone can figure it out you will I'm sure.
What about some sort of tonneau cover. That has zippers or a provision to open the drivers area up. Would work under most roofs probably. Give you way more rain protection for the cockpit. And a splash guard for beside the driver. Those who don't want to have a roof get great weather protection as well for longer trips. Could attach with some sort of pocket over the seat maybe. And if it's raining you just jump out zip it closed and voila its covered lol. My 2 cents anyways your definitely the right guy to share that with. Hope all is well with you and the wifey
Woo Hoo!!!
Man even if only a few show up were gonna have the time of our lives!!
Pretty excited.
Here's my Facebook post in regards to drag racing on Friday.
Ok here's some more info on drag racing. It all started last year we wanted to do Drag racing at Slingfest and found the Didsbury car club did that sort of thing. Only thing was they do an event the same weekend as Slingfest so it was a no go. Thier event is Saturday and Sunday but they set up on Friday night. So I approached Dana Munn club president about the Slingshots racing on Friday night. And he made it happen. The members of the car club will be volunteering thier Friday night to help out as well. Here's what we get. 1/8 mile Drag racing. You get a time slip with your 60 foot time 1/8 mile time and overall speed. They will be doing BHT track prep as well so it's nice and sticky. Ball is in our court now just gotta get people and thier Slingshots to turn up. Pretty excited this should be really cool. Special thanks to Dana and the Didsbury car club for believing in us and going to bat for us. Also a special thank you to the Airdrie Oilmen's Association and the Bikes and Bulls event for allowing us to do it as well. You guys are awesome thank you so much!!
A high resolution scan of it and I could make you something. Or bring it to Slingfest with you.
