• Wow I'm going to make this odd. I work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. For almost 10 years I go to jail everyday.
Worked aviation for several years after I got out of the Navy. 1989 to 1996 and also 2001 to 2002.

Tell me they finally took my picture down!?!?!?! :00008172:
Seriously though, most everybody here already knows my background. Twenty-four years with the Navy, then jumped into the occupational safety field as a Safety Specialist for OSHA, covering the area Military Hospitals. Still get the funny looks when I tell people what I do!!! With a little therapy, I should be just fine in a couple of years! :00008356:

  • I was in a Special Forces unit("Power Generation Equiptment Technician" generator mechanic)in the Army. I was a Construction manager for a building company (mostly houses and condos). Heavy equiptment operator (dozer, backhoe, grading tractor, excavator, vactor, loader, skidster, forklift) I have my (A) drivers license to drive Semis. I started my own home improvement company, finishing basements mainly. I do all the work myself (studs, electrical, plumbing, drywall (hanging and finishing), tile, trim.......

Now I work for The Department Roads. I'm in the electrical department. We maintain and repair all the traffic signals, cameras, radars and antennas. I also plow snow for The Department of Roads in those big orange trucks. Before moving to the electrical department I was in the Maintenance Dept. I patched roads, rebuilt road catch basins(drains), replaced slabs of concrete, removed trees, cut grass, jetted culverts, dug ditches(with a Gradall).... :)

  • I've been servicing x-ray film developing equipment for the past 33 years. Started my own company 25 years ago and still making a good living even though the market has shifted to digital. A few more years and I can retire and hit the road.

  • Most of ya know I think..But here's the quick version...Adult entertainment didn't work, so I thought long and hard and jumped into the Elevator trade. Worked for Schindler for 12+ years and then took the opportunity and a $47k pay cut to become a State elev inspector. I was promised a lot & I haven't gotten shit, but a few more years Im invested in benefits for life which should be worth it. Im easy going, do my thing all day & my quote cause people say Im to easy going " They don't pay me enough to be an Asshole!!" Depending how body feels maybe jump back into trade and take home $1500+ a week in a few years??? ?( ....

I Have No more toys, just memories.... :/

  • I entered the workforce when I was 12 ('72). My first job was washing dishes at my parents family owned restaurant/bar, it enabled me to pay cash for my first car (a small block '67 camaro). Then during High school I worked 1/2 days as an electricians helper my junior and senior years while attending trade school ('77-'78). In '79 I was accepted into a 4 year apprenticeship program with the IBEW (local 369),and became a union journeyman electrician in '83. I then worked as a maintenance electrician/electronic tech. for Philip Morris from '86 to '06. Then in '05 I started my present job in general maintenance at General Electric Appliance Park (No that's not a typo, I worked 3rd shift 5 days a week at PM and 2nd shift 6 days a week at GE for 5 months). So now I've got my fingers crossed wondering how the Chinese are going to treat us for the next 4 years (Haier bought us out and our contract has expired). At present my fiance' (Kim) and I are negotiating a deal to buy the family owned bar/restaurant, funny how things come full circle... hope she doesn't put me back washing dishes, anybody got a '67 camaro they wanna sell cheap ? ;):00008172::00008356:

  • Ex- Operations Mgr for company that made drones for the USAF, as well as friendlies. Company was sold to defense conglomerate, and I didn't fit their corporate image. Nobody else in the area wanted to pay me what I was worth, so I started buying, rehabbing, and selling houses. (damn Federal Reserve- gonna price my first time buyers outta the market!) Will keep it going as long as I can buy at a price that pencils out....... (my contractors love it when I pull up in the SS.)
