This is just the stuff my beautiful wife puts on the coffee tables and counters so that you can't actually use them anymore. Actually any flat surface will probably get covered over with holiday cheer.....
Can anyone tell why I dislike the holidays!

Just think of it as adding "mods" to the tree.

I had to pack up all the Thanksgiving decorations Wednesday. We had a water pipe on the back of the fridge split and soak down about half of my lower floor. They are in the middle of tearing out ALL my wood floors and tile I put down about 8 years ago. Has taken 3 days for them to get out half the floor. I told them I put things in to stay! I nailed the Oak floor in every 6" over my underlayment (over crawl space) that is glued down and stapled every 6". I put the tile floor in with mastic then Durock screwed down every 6", then tiled. At this rate it may be New Years before we get stuff completed. Maybe I won't have to get down more decorations
The great thing about it is I wanted to replace the tile in the kitchen and now I just have to pay my $500 deductible and get new flooring on the entire first floor without having to do any of the work myself!!! Looks like the only project I can work on is my Sling. Now that's a Christmas present I really like! -

The "Grinch" is just upset cause he can't put his stuff all over the counters. Usually, he has something sitting right in the middle where you have to move it to open the cabinet doors.
-
Mine is up also, been up for a week but she is not finished yet and I don't dare say anything about it.

PERSPECTIVE FELLAS - PERSPECTIVE!! -
I think I just may have you beat on this one
In my life the seasons and holidays are broken into Rubermaid totes
Here are the fall totes that I have to take to the back garage [I'll load them onto a dolly to reduce the number of trips] - I have to put those away on the shelves built into the garage before the mower and Slingshot can go in
These are only good for fall which is not Halloween - there are another six totes or so for Halloween - three more for Thanksgiving, five for 4th of July, a couple for St Patrick's day, and a couple more for Valentines day
Takes a weekend to unload totes and then she decorates during the week
Christmas - that's just another story. The basement is broke into isles even though all isles and totes in the basement are for Christmas.
Takes a week of hauling totes up and down the stairs to unload. She does all the arrangement and setup I am just the mule. There's more glitter on our carpet right now than in all the strip clubs in the Midwest
