This is the only picture I have of me with my first car. 1982 Ford Granada station wagon. I'm technically in the picture...at this point I'm pinned in my seat behind the steering wheel, and they're a few minutes from getting me out with the jaws of life.

Yes. Officer on the right, bent over the window. Pretty sure at this point he was cussing me out.
My younger sister and a cousin got to witness the accident in real life, as it happened literally in front of the Jr. High school (which was attached to the high school). And my mother was somewhere on the scene, probably screaming at my father from a distance, as was her wont at that point in their separation/divorce proceedings.

Did you at least keep the license plate from this?? That would be a great memory!

Hey @KayTwolooks like that would have buffed right if you had kept it. Just a little rubbing compound good as new. JUST SAYIN
Dude, that car died an epic death. Saved my life. That in-line 6 was kept outta my lap by the steel beams surrounding the engine compartment. The car took the head-on hit from enough of an overhead angle that there were gouges in the pavement underneath the engine bay.

I sadly have no photos of my first car that I can find. It was a '79 Chevette, bought in '90. It had 9,000 miles on it. It was in New condition and I bought it for $300.00. I used it for almost 2 yrs. and gave it to my younger brother when I left for The Army. He killed it. It was really fun to drive in the snow, being a light, rear wheel drive car. I loved it.
I bought it after moving in the middle of my junior year. I told my ex-girlfriend (only "ex" because of the move) that, "I just bought a '79 Vette, sky blue in mint condition. It is so fun to drive, it's rear wheel drive and I can break the tires loose and fish tail pretty easy (I omitted "on dirt roads")". For some reason she thought I meant Corvette. I never corrected her thought. I figured, They are both Chevrolet's, they both start with "C" followed by two letters, then Vette. I was well within my rights to refer to it as a "Vette", right guys?
Here are photos of it's twins I found online.

Unfortunately my first mode of transportation is recorded on Daguerreotype pictures and they don't copy well to the internet.

My first car was a 69 Opel Kadet like this:

Drove it hard. Put one transmission and two clutches in in one month, 10,000 miles. Loved racing VWs and trying to make it fly. 53 vehicles later I am on my 2nd Sling. -
53 vehicles @dangerdarrell? Nice! Now that is living.
I have to count two bikes to hit ten. Not counting wife's cars.

First car...1982 Buick Regal Station wagon with wood paneling...did I mention the 5.7L non turbo diesel? lol. Man it was a pig on the road.
