So considering improving the rear visibility for my Sling. I thought of a couple of options:
1. risers and convex stick ons for the rear view mirror
2. Get a center post and a bona fide rearview
What have you used and what do you think? I'm 5'8"

I have the convex stick on mirrors and the extensions from SlingMods
Search - Mirror extensions (slingmods.com) Love the combination --- have had for over 3 years
I have the extensions. They helped a good bit with visibility. I want the convex mirrors now.
This is what I did.
I just bought some convex mirrors from Autozone. They are moveable once attached so I generally try to push them out a far as possible while keeping the main mirror set where I can just see the side of the SS. At less than $8, they are a lot cheaper than the SlingMods ones.

In my 2019, both mirrors are convex - they work great! I've never checked, but my assumption is that the '20 and '21 models do as well.
For wider vision:
And as far as rear view vision, one day with nothing to do I plotted out my blind spot just using the outside mirrors within the straps:
As you can see, even a motorcycle would most likely be visible.

You would be surprised how much the extensions will expand your view.

With the convex and extensions I can see anything within 8ft of the rear of the Slingshot from either mirror --- that's my set up.
If you have a Top, this multi-panel mirror eliminates just about all blind spaces to the point that the side mirrors don't get much use. I've been using ti since December 2015 - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B006K8VHU8/.
This pic shows how large its rear/side field of view is -
This pic has some tips on mounting -
If someone decides to drill the cross-member and use screws like I did, I strongly recommend they use stainless steel screws (and brackets if they can be located).
I going to second the widw angle side mirrors https://www.slingmods.com/peel…laris-slingshot?vehicle=3 and the extensions https://www.slingmods.com/peel…laris-slingshot?vehicle=3 well worth the money and I can see right behind me and the lanes beside me. I started off with the wide angle rear view mirror on the post. Worked great for seeing behind me but the mirror stuck up above the stock windshield and blocked my vision on right hand turns. I lowered it so the top of the mirror is even with the top of the windshield and that helped. Can still see behind me but have a very nice view of the rear fin. I but adjustable stick on mirrors on the side mirrors from a auto parts store. 2" rectangle ones and that helped but still was happy so went with the ones from Slingmods with the extenions and now a happy camper. Don't even need the rear view mirror but it looks cool so left it installed.
I'm 5' 8". currently using the convex stick on Polaris Slingshot Convex Peel & Stick Side View Mirrors (slingmods.com) They helped immensely. I also use a smaller adjustable convex mirror that allows a total view. Only issue is my mirrors are tilted all the way up to the maximum allowed by design. I've heard some good things about the extensions Search - Mirror extensions (slingmods.com) EjFord & SoCal I think they may allow a better mirror placement that doesn't require the mirror to be pitched at an extreme pitch. Possibly eliminating the added little convex mirrors. Just waiting for current goodies to arrive and be installed. Pacing myself!
this helped me out alot & the use of my rear view camera on while i drive ( not sure if anyone figured out how to do that with a stock radio )
That was my 3rd option...

Odd.... Going to recheck, but I'm REALLY sure my 2019 mirrors are NOT convex.
If my mirrors on my 2020 R are convex I sure didn't notice it either. If they was it wasn't enough to help.
The 2020R mirrors are both very SLIGHTLY convex. Its enough that the convex mirror add-ons from slingmods don't stick on flush on the glass without some modification, but I just cleaned them well and stuck them on anyway.
Me too.
I'd think a narrow perimeter of 3M body foam tape around the perimeter of the stick-on convex mirrors (say 1/2" wide +/-) should be enough to get a solid seal on top of the 2020R convex mirrors.
