Currently out of stock.
I asked that same question of SlingMods last year (not sure where the thread is). I'll put it this way - you get what you pay for. Yes, they are better than stock. Yes, there are better out there. If I were to do it again, I would look at the DDM 3-way adjustables (wait for a sale).
Agreed, i have the DDM on the front of mine, lots of adjustment capabilities.
QA1 on the rear with the quad, DDM hasn't built us a comparable shock yet for the rear. Probably not enough need for it
I absolutely recommend the DDM 3 way shocks.
I have tried Bilstein and QA's and have had the best success with the DDM version. I would also recommend their sway bar and links to complete the set up.
From the testimonies that I have read so far on these shocks, the ride is on par with the stock shocks, if not being even a lil more harsh.................

Every time I get the itch to install new shocks on the SlingShot, I'll first dig out the invoice of when we installed new struts and shocks on the front and rear of our Volkswagen, compare that cost of $650 installed price to the $1,000+ parts only price for the SlingShot, so far the itch has been satisfied and I have no problem at all just leaving that money in my wallet.

The springs that coilovers use are usually (except for progressive style coils) the same across all the brands. I have a set of 250lb and 300lb front springs. When you buy coilovers your really buying the goodies in the middle. That is where the magic happens. The internals of the shock, the amount of adjustments, and the gas or fluid inside is what makes a shock do what it does.
I run a set of QA1 single adjustable. But I wouldn't hesitate to use any of the others that are for sale. I like my single knob because it is simple. The more I screw it in the less fluid can move back and forth making it a stiffer ride. The more I turn the screen outward the faster the fluid moves and the softer the ride is.
If you have two adjustments you can adjust the movement of fluid both ways differently. You can have it react fast or slow when you hit a pothole and you can have it rebound back into place slow or fast.
Personal opinion! I am now running the single knob (52 clicks) JRI's but I liked the single knob (12 clicks) Hahn QA 1's better
I too, was hesitant about aftermarket shocks because of the price. I finally parted with some gold, and bought the Hahn QA-1's on a group buy. My initial reaction after the first ride was "WTF is so special?" So, I called a well known member here, our buddy FITS, and he calmed me down. He said to keep making adjustments until I find my sweet spot. I did that exactly, and can say that I believe if you drop some coin on these, or any other shocks, you will not be disappointed.
So glad I got them!
