Also, are you sure this is a Vinyl wrap or something like Plastidip? I dont see how detailing/washing can ruin a wrap TBH unless this is Plastidip instead of an actual wrap job!

BUFFING
Secondly, you must avoid buffing. Of course, you may ask, where is the harm? It’s just a cloth shine job. While it seems harmless, buffing a car wrap surface is not. The thing to note is the car surface is rarely free of small debris. You may not see it, but it’s there.
When you buff, you run the risk of scratching the surface of the wrap with small but gritty dirt particles, leaving unsightly marks. These marks will interfere with your car’s aesthetics and are, at times, hard to get off. So, buffing should be left out.
ROUGH CLOTHS
When it comes to cloths, the softer, the better. Rough cloths may scratch the vehicle and leave unsightly marks. Stay away from rough brushes, even if you are going for the sparkling clean look. The bristles will likely harm the car’s surface, leaving scratches that are difficult to get out.

I need a drink and don't drink lol....
Amen brother Moe!!
(And hang with me my friend,.....I can drink beer for the both of us!) -
It’s kind of hard to tell from the pics but it looks like it is only on the accent hood panels. If it was chemical I would think it would have affected the rest of the wrap. I cannot tell if the hood accents have the wrap on them or not. If they do you should be able to remove just the hood accents and remove the wrap on them and then bolt them back on. Would still look good in my opinion.

worth noting...the detailer called me and left me a message after he washed it that the paint job is blotchy and he can fix it for me if I wanted. 🙄
don’t let him try to fix it....
small claims court here you can sue for up to $15,000 -

This is very true.
Plastidip can react poorly with many cleaning products.

If its a wrap, im thinking the buffing was so aggresive it pretty much ruined the top layer.

I wish I could upload the video....he cried tears. Back story.....I've been really sick and dealing with some serious health issues the past year+. He's been amazing. This positive thing in our life was so needed. Thank you all....I couldn't have done it with you all. He asked how did I pull this off and I told him I have a family of slingshot owners that have advice me the whole time! Y'all have been THE BEST!
-
Congrats to both of you and good job Tell him welcome to the family as well!

Wow that is so awesome, he is about to have a lot of fun. That sling looks great in that black matte finish.

Gotta love a happy ending!
Just wait until you hit the north GA mountains in the sling. That's when you will really smile.

He's just a massive 11 year old....he's already asked how old he needs to be for me to take him to a parking lot to drive it 😂 He has a xbox setup with clutch and stick so he's just sure he can drive the Sling already.
-
I'm sure he can. I'm not sure where all this talk about 90% of the current generation can't drive a stick comes from. We all learned by mimicking our parents, getting a few basic instructions from them, then driving. It's not a doggone jet airplane now is it???
11 you say. Well I got that big, uh, never!
-
15 minutes to learn how to drive a stick in an open parking lot is about right
