A friend of mine up in Tennessee had one of these. It was a blast to ride but you would really need two to really have fun.
I want one!

I talked to them when they first came out. They are located in Winston-Salem, NC. Really some nice people.

So awesome! I need one of these in my life!
Well, I keep getting emails for the Sondor's Electric Car Company. Looks like they are trying to raise money to start production. Let's see: They made a working prototype and got it to drive a year ago. And the price has already increased from $10,000 to over $19,000. Only 249 investors so far.

Those look really good, didn't think they would be able to pull off the price of $10k, but even at $19k seems pretty reasonable depending on final production specs. Just hope it works out better than Elio

As a side note ..... is Elio toast ...... did they just quietly run off with the money, haven't heard anything from them for a while and their last press post was over a year ago ......

Now that it's been mentioned, I just realized I don't recall an email from Elio in a little while now. I used to get an email every week or so.

Same boat, I was "all in" for $100. Gave up in 2017 and purchased the slingshot. I think it was a good concept. I wish them well if any chance remains. I think its a great starter car or city car with potential. I'm not disappointed it's easy to drop a hundred bucks and had I got the Elio most likely I wouldn't have purchased the slingshot so things worked out well!
I think they actually helped in a way for the slingshot in that they lobbied congress to push many states into recognizing the autocycle allowing driving without a motorcycle endorsement.
The Peugeot 20 Cup was always a favorite of mine. Sadly it never made it into production. I like how deep you sit into it along with the carbon body. It probably would have been about 150-155whp but it also only weighed 1100lbs. It kind of looks like if a Vanderhall and a Viper had an illegitimate child. https://www.conceptcarz.com/ve…z10033/peugeot-20cup.aspx
I just listened to some War Stories on the Vanderhall from a no longer a dealer. (QC) and Dealer support.
I'm sure this is a chicks trike

We work on them here. It's a neat vehicle. I like that iconic "cafe racer" style look they have but they have a TON of QC issues. I realize so did the Slingshot but a lot of it is just poor assembly or bad materials. They have a bump shifter option which will randomly decide whether it wants to work or not. I had another I had tuned and the CEL started flashing but not like it had a misfire flashing. It was intermittent. Turned out it was a bad connection to the light on the back of the dash. The biggest annoyance working on them is there are no hood hinges or hood latch. The hood is held on by 8 screws. Another issue is the engine is shoe horned in there making them challenging to work on. You have to take a lot of parts off to get to a certain location sometimes. I have no issues passing semis on the highway in a Slingshot. In a Vanderhall it's quite an experience. They definitely feel less safe than a Slingshot. They're cool to look at but I personally would never buy one. I've had to call dealers before and most of them are basically useless and have no understanding of them. I've also talked to Vanderhall directly asking for an owners manual with a wiring schematic so I could diag some things on a customers vehicle and the response was we do not have one yet.
At some point, the advertised power numbers are going to come back and bite them and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a class action lawsuit started. They claim that the Venice which uses the 1.4T engine from the Chevy Sonic makes 180hp. GM claims that engine makes 134hp. The tune in the Venice is more conservative than the stock GM tune. Even if you were to factor in a 20% drive train loss which it would never have, you would still be left with 144whp. I dyno the ones that come here and a typical bone stock result is about 100-110whp. With a tune I usually see about 140-145whp. All of the owners are shocked and upset. I posted the results of the 1st one I did in the Vanderhall pages on FB. What I didn't know what that Vanderhall owns most of those pages. They ended up contacting me directly telling me I needed to take my post down and not report power numbers or my posts would be removed and I would be blocked from the pages because my numbers were not in line with what they advertise. At some point enough owners will figure this out and I just do not see how ANY company could back pedal out of that with a positive result. But as of now, they only have about 1000 units sold and on the road which is a far cry from the Slingshots 38k is what I think they told us in Huntsville at the factory tour.
I wish these vehicles had made it to market.

I was waiting for years for Persu Mobility's leaning trike to hit the market, but Carver Tech in Holland was over their leaning technology which Persu had licensed. I guess that may be what caused problems for this vehicle. I had pre-registered for one, but they didn't last long enough for me to need to place a deposit.
https://www.litmotors.com/ - This was supposed to be a gyro-stabilized 2-wheeler that Lit Motors said was supposed to be good for all driving conditions, but I would've been very leery of icy roads. I loved the overall concept, though.
I requested a refund of my deposit just before I took delivery of my Slingshot back in June 2015.
FWIW, I can't remember if I placed a deposit with Elio & can't find any emails about having done so.
Came across this article earlier today -
