........so I saw a drop of oil on my garage floor and lost my mind, WHY ME .....so I traced it coming from the bottom of the starter motor.....tighten up the bolt closes to it and will see what happens next......these pics were after I wiped it clean.......Has this occured with anyone else......???????

The picture on the right .....Upper left just to the right of the bolt head,,, Hard to tell from the picture is that a crack..??....

Check above the starter. I do not think the start bolts would have anything to do with an oil leak. But oil leaking from above will collect in that area - been there

Have you messed with the oil pressure sensor that is above the starter? It's hard to see unless you remove the intake. I had a very slight leak after moving my dummy sensor and putting an oil sensor for a real gauge in place. The adapter used wasn't tightened enough and caused a leak.
I blame being in a hurry and sticking with that story! I was definitely not getting forgetful or anything like that...

.....yes sir ,I'm torqueing everything down now , got the shop manual on my lap top..........between the forum and the shop manual , stearlerships aren't needed for some....

The sensor on the right is a Knock sensor - No Oil from there.
On the Left now that one can leak

Both of these above can allow a slow oil leak...
Inspect the engine for mechanical damage. Special interest should be shown to the following areas:
• Higher than recommended fluid levels
• Higher than recommended fluid pressures
• Plugged or malfunctioning fluid filters or pressure bypass valves
• Plugged or malfunctioning engine ventilation system
• Improperly tightened or damaged fasteners
• Cracked or porous components
• Improper sealants or gaskets where required
• Improper sealant or gasket installation
• Damaged or worn gaskets or seals
• Damaged or worn sealing surfaces
Torque Spec For Oil Pressure Switch: 16 ft lbs.
Torque Spec For Crankshaft Position Sensor: 89 in lbs
