Hello fellow SS owners. I finally took owner ship of the SS last night. ..... 2018 Grand Touring. Looking forward to performing some modest mods during the summer. I actually order several small things before even taking ownership. First task will be to strip the red graphics, dye red stitching, etc (red is not my color). Plasti dip the red control arms and rear swing arm and then get some different wheels. She'll be a daily driver for me through rain or shine type weather. I became pretty familiar with it after driving it 3 hours home from the dealership in Indiana as my first ride in an Sling. The good Lord blessed me with sunny It was a very uneventful journey and mostly highway. I was trying to get in and out of the gas stations as quickly as possible to avoid extended conversations as I was pressed for time. Anyhoo, all is well and she's parked in the garage for about a week until I can get the RED off and install a few MINOR mods and then it's on!! I don't ride fast or hard, so the rain driving shouldn't be an issue as this is what I was used to on my Honda Goldwing. I never really tried to spin out the rear tire, nor will I probably ever try to.

Nice looking SS. It's funny, but I have been regularly adding red accents to my Turbo Silver SS because my wife loves them.

Before you start dipping/painting red parts, see if someone want's to trade with you. The red painted parts (swing arm, A-Arms, etc) are actually desired by some (ie me!).
Oh, and Welcome!
-
I could handle the red parts also.
-
I can understand that you don't want the RED parts on your slingshot since you stated that you don't ride FAST. lol. Congrats on pulling the trigger on your new ride and welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forum. I agree... ditch the red.
Hope you don't contract full blown mod-flu... there is no known cure.
-
SlangShot7 welcome to the forums, buying a slow grey one is a good way to keep you from spinning the rear.
However you have little bits of red so some spinning might happen whether you want it or not.
Last but no least do not visit any site that sells slingshot mods otherwise you will get yourself in trouble with the better half. -
SlangShot7 Welcome to the 'World of Slingshot Insanity'. What part of Indiana are you in?

Hey!! I think the TURBO SIlver (Grey) one HAS to be the fastest. It even has TURBO in the name!
