That looks like the torque wrench I had to use on the Jesus nut on my helicopter back in the day.
Slingshot almost owner.

@Tripod Is the pages posted from the service manual? Where can I get one?
On paper, expect to pay about $190 from a reputable source. Plenty of places to look, the usual suspects. If you look a little harder (eBay, etc) you might find some personal copies or electronic versions for less.

I should add, if you have a specific question, ask it, and someone with a manual will probably take a picture of the pertinent page(s) for you.... -

Yea that would be a savings for sure. Not cheap. I had a Goldwing that I ordered the service manual for 15 bucks!

Meh. I learned a few things, and no one got hurt. Not an entirely bad decision. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Same with my water experiment!
And same with Jared's 2nd "learning experience" involving the squiggly lines button...
Or was that one in the same?

Service manual. About $190. First service (basic oil change, and look to be sure nothing looks out of place) $189. Shop rate for imbeciles that are basically hacks and shade tree mechanics, $99 an hour. Knowing how to do it yourself and having the manual to help you, priceless.
Finding a good dealer (read as, good service dept) IMO, is even more important than what deal you make on the Slingshot. @ConnMan might be able to help you with that, since I believe you both are in the same state. If you have a problem you can't fix yourself, would be good to know of a place to take it before you actually need it fixed.

As @Goats_Hogs said, a good dealer is helpful. Although, you'll get more information here.
Save yourself some typing, buy the damn thing, then we can meet and you can fire away the questions to me!! I don't know all the answers, but the guy who invented the Slingshot, is a personal friend of mine!!
So my friend, what dealer are you using??????? -
I agree, way more info here! My wife is always saying I should work for Polaris as their spokesperson on the SS. I learned much of it here. But with anything I truly love or enjoy, I want to learn about it. The good and the bad. I'm very proactive on maintenance, and if I know about known problems I watch for signs of the issue on mine. Many times, I will take off very spur of the moment, and make a road trip for a day or weekend. I want to feel that in all likelihood, it will not only get me there, but also back.
And I agree on buying it. If it will not strap you financially, and you think you might like one.... do it! You will not regret it! I've had more fun with this than I ever thought possible.... and met some really great friends because of it!

Libbys in New Haven. Since they are only 20 miles away from me and I bought all my bikes in the past through them. I only had 1 service done there it was a front fork seal on a wing. Never went back for maintenance I looked on Web and YouTube and did it myself. Hoping the shot is as reliable and easy to work on also. Going to place my deposit on Saturday Am.
