It is pretty easy to install but not a 5 minute job. The biggest problem on my install was the mounting brackets were to close together by about 1/8 of an inch. I think this is the reason for the stock tank failures.

It took me about 5 min. no Problem, I purchase a cap at amazon and painted it.

ensure you use Teflon tape when installing the nipples. I don't know how @mytoy installed his in only 5 minutes, it took me a while longer. Dieter must be a mechanic master.
I do not know how he did it either

Are you doing the hoses as well? That will make a little difference in the difficulty of the install.
-
I did my hoses prior, and don't forget to put plummer tape on it takes a long time if you go to the pharmacy to get it
-
Careful not to scratch it during the install. It's a tight squeeze.

Boy I really don't want to start spending money under the hood ...
-
When we are installing them we put some blue painters tape along the front and sides of the surge tank also to help protect it from getting scratched during the installation. Like others have said, it is a tight fit to get it in there. Then once it is installed, peel the tape off.
Hope that helps,

after reviewing the video, I saw my mistake. I didn't lick the bolts, you must lick the bolts, not the nuts. Remember that.

I hope your coming to Texas Hill Country next year @mytoy you always make me laugh on here & i'd like to meet you lol
