Yep, started with 4 wheels, got me a set of 3 wheels, now something with 2 wheels, I guess a unicycle may be in my future at some point. Yes, the Slingshot is staying, the wife insists.
This beauty is a 2001 Indian Spirit of America, limited edition #43 of 62. to celebrate the first 100 years of Indian motorcycles.

I’m game for more local stuff... and will help organize when needed to (ya’ll know I’m more about the people and riding than I am all the hub-bub of structured/commercial events) ~> make no mistake, YOU ALL are why we even go to these gatherings in the first place.

I’m just going to throw this out there: “Slingshot Luncheon”, “Murphy Memorial’s Day Ride”, “Christmas in Cowpens”, “The Mega Super Giant Mighty Moo Stampede”, “Slingshots Uncorked”, “Bues and Blues”, etc... etc... ALL THE ABOVE are why our SSI family rocks. I could easily miss SSITS and not even bat an eyelash, BUT would feel big-time depressed if I couldn’t go to our smaller gatherings.

So yeah, count me in for event planning... LETS DO IT!

i suggest a Slingshot Bourbon Trail experience here in Kentucky. Several rides along the Bourbon Trail visiting the distilleries. Maybe in September during the annual Bourbon festival in Bardstown, KY. The festival is a week long event.

I carry a 12V 100 PSI inflator and tire plug kit in the hollow space in the hump under the passenger roll hoop. I carry a multi leatherman w/adjustable wrench and some torx wrenchs in the bottom of the storage well.

@D.W.Slusher, if it didn't have to have one reversed, then think about a 6 inch metal cast EGA from Amazon. Mount them to your mudflap with RTV adhesive. I did my combat unit last June and no problems staying on, they are cast bronze.

A little late, the Kentuckiana Slingshot Posse won the "Fast Rabbit" award in the 2018 Louisville Easter Parade. We had 9 Slingshots in our group participate.
Everyone had a blast. FYI, KYJoe57 is wearing the biker vest. Do not look for the pink bunny in Maggie Valley!!!!!!

@KYJoe57 Let me know what they say about the rear brake lights having a delay going off. I have the same thing on mine and just assumed it was how it was made.

Will do, hopefully, it wont be too long away, the weather here in KY is just starting to settle down into riding weather.

I taking my 2016 in today for the brake warning light coming on again after the second fix along with the rear brakes lights being slow to go off after I let up off the pedal, the seat frame recall, the side panels finally cracked and a Knock sensor engine code. Good thing I am still under warranty.

Here is my low cost, gas cap mod, for those who have a hard time gripping the OEM gas cap. They are inexpensive or check with a fishing buddy.

I used the inside of a fishing line spool, it will line up with the slots of the gas caps. I molded it in using black 2 part epoxy. I used milliput from amazon.
The 3 blade design fits in with the Slingshot style.

Here is what I like to have:
Keltec Sub2000 9mm in S&W M&P , in folds up to 16.25 inches, perfect for behind the seat with a 17 rd mag. I also carry a S&W P9 Compact that can use the same mag.

mine had come apart after the dealer replaced the steering angle sensor and I found out when the horn wouldn't work. I took the steering wheel and hub off, found the clock spring open and a metal pin bent. I rewound the spring, straighten the pin and snapped it back together. No problems since.

I recommend taking it back to the dealer, if you can. It would have been a pita for me to take it back in at the time.

Hey, @Bill Martin can I sue, because my feet don't reach the pedals?... Oh nevermind, I just adjusted the seat. Wait, because they designed it with no windshield or a short windshield, then they should have provided a bug screen so that vegans are not force to consume meat during rides. I am just now a vegan and want to sue!!!!
