I am looking for some way to secure my Slingshot. I recently saw a post (might have been on Facebook) of someone that had a devise that locked between the shifter and parking brake. Have been looking and looking and cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone on here know of it or a similar devise? Thanks for the assistance.

I have seen that and some have stated the shift knob could easily be pulled?
A very cool solution that I know some have are handcuffs... @Slingrazor has one as do others... They'll post soon I'm sure...
Also prevents them from sitting in it I think....?

I bought one from Amazon. It will not work with the stock e-brake handle. I bought the NRG handle from Slingmods and it works great. I am not sure how anyone would pull the the shift knob up as it's got the set screw through it. I think it will keep the honest person honest but if a professional thief wants it then nothing will stop them if they want it bad enough.

I was thinking one of these would work very well - it locks the steering wheel to either the clutch pedal or the break
The Club CL303 Pedal to steering Wheel Lock
On the other hand now days most punks that would try cant even drive a stick

I have the same rig as does gooseman. It is easy to use, but as he says, it will not fit over the OE e brake handle. While it may not deter a serious thief, it should keep somebody from putting the tranny in neutral and releasing the e brake.
-
Look up on Amazon: Heavy duty, one side locks to frame, the other to the steering well. Won't prevent a theft but hopefully slowdown or deters.

I would think with the cuffs they could still roll it onto a trailer and be gone. With the e-brake and gear shift locked it makes it more difficult to roll it.
-
When I lock the cuffs I turn the wheel all the way to one direction then lock the steering wheel.
They could still drag it onto a trailer. They could cut the steering wheel and release the cuffs.
Again, none of these options are true preventions. Even a steering wheel lock in a regular car can be popped.

All we can do is deter joyriders and pranksters. As others have said, if somebody wants it bad enough, they will take it.

slap a quick release on your steering wheel i have an alarm but also have quick release on my steering wheel, makes it a little harder to drive away with it especially with no steering wheel

I have one of these, I have an NRG e-brake handle and the Alpha short shifter while I agree that anyone motivated and get by this but again nothing will really stop someone who is motivated to steal something.
This will give you the peace of mind against the common thug, gansta kids and mediocre joyriders. definitely better than nothing at all and for the price(got mine for $35) there is no reason not to have it

Personally i am against QR because then that is one more thing that you need to carry with you every time you get off the sling.
briefcase + laptop bag + steering wheel...... pass. -
@Neosolidus maybe just buy a really big brief case. so you can get all that stuff in there. i don't tend to worry about the sling being stolen in the morning or middle of day its more at night when I'm not in the best of areas

You could also use the tire/rim lock like @Bubblehead uses.
-
Just put an air ride on it when dropped it won't roll and good luck to the thieves on picking it up and walking away.

i have drone mobile. $240 install and $10. A month

Full coverage insurance.... if it gets stolen great I don't have the payment anymore my CC can finally catch a break lol
-
I use the Master Lock Street Cuff also. Saw it on @Slingrazors and loved it. Best thing is that it keeps people from getting into the driver's seat without my permission.
-
1/4 stick of dynamit under the seat with a cell phone trigger?

Thank you all for your great advise.
