I am guessing that it's a 350mm? I am looking to get a steering wheel this weekend...wondering if a 320mm would be a decent size and if there is a real difference going to a flat bottom steering wheel. Anyone have any input on brands to stay away from or one you would highly recommend?
Factory steering wheel size?

Stock steering wheel is about a 355mm.
We have installed a bunch of the NRG wheels and have the Sparco wheel on our Slingshot. The NRG wheels have a little more flex to them than the the Sparco, but are a lot less money also and the NRG come in a lot more colors/options.
Hope that helps,

I have the NRG flat bottom from DDM with their adapter. Love it!

"Flat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round."
Wait, is that right?!

I got the Assault D wheel and hub. The first time I drove it, I wondered how long it would take to get used to the D part. Not long, but if you ever try to drive it with your knee, be sure to hit it from the side not the bottom! First time I did that, I headed for the ditch... (pushed up on the lower left flat part)
The flat bottom makes it much easier to get in and out for me though. At 6'4", I'll take that extra room it gives me!

You actually made me think about the knee driving thing...didn't really consider that.
I also have the quick release hub already, just need a steering wheel to install it all. So getting in and out of it won't be a huge issue.

Knee driving is a skillset many learned in high school to enable them to have 2 hands free for rolling doobies...

Fact is, I've been considering the quick release for mine too. Harder to steal if the steering wheel is locked behind the seat or in my motel room when travelling. I actually like the round one's look from Assault better, mine has that 1/4" of red leather at the top, where the round wheel doesn't.

So I broke down and picked up a Sparco last night...should be delivered this next week.

Ok, so does anyone know if they make a short quick release? I have the cycle springs quick release and I feel like a t-rex driving.

Believe nrg has the shortest quick releases... Also pricey... Check out @slingmods...

I checked out their site and Slinshotonly and I don't see a short quick release. I have a short hub adapter already...can't imagine how bad it would be with out that.
