I'm using FoboBike with Bluetooth to my iPhone and I bought metal valve stem's to put in the wheels but the direction said I could use the plastic ones with no problem so I did not replace them and so far I've had no problem it's been about three weeks and it's all good....

#batpower, can you post a pic of the sensors installed? Curious how big they are and if they will fit aftermarket wheels.
I was running the FOBO sensors. They were great except for the right front. Had replaced a right wheel and they put in a slightly longer valve stem. Kept hearing a sound on the right corner at slow speeds and finally figured out it was the top of the sensor hitting the caliper. No fault of FOBO but one sensor was ruined. Just make certain your valve stems are short enough.
Don't those have to depress the Schrader valve to measure the pressure.. I would never sleep if I had those on my wheels.
I used to use them on my ducati.
1st set was stolen when i went to the Donnie Smith/Dennis's Kirt show
2nd set was stolen while visiting bob's cycle
3rd set sprung a leak and found myself with a flat tire during a visit to two harbors.
Swore to never use one of them again.
I have had them on for 6 months so far so good - no issues

Maybe we could blame the sensors for causing loose lug nuts...?!

Nope that all falls on the idiot that put the wheel on!
I would fire the jerk but he bankrolls the ride
Running a silver set of FOBOs on standard valve stems for a year now and no issues so far.
I am using a Garmin Zumo 395 with Garmins TPMS sensors which require metal vale stems. So far no issues with them
well you all jinxed me
Can't get my sensors to work today
Have you checked to make sure it's tight? You know how loose nuts can do bad things

They are old nuts, not tight any more!
