Black looks best on the Red SlingShot. I installed the Red Buttons on mine to see what it looked like, I liked it at first, but the Black gives a better contrast.
I purchased the "other" set before deciding on @mnirons solution for 3 reasons: 1- The other set uses the stock bumper mounting point eliminating a major point of support for the fender; 2-you get to use the stock bumper for added support, the buttons are very effective at holding the fender down against the fender's designed stress point (the bumper); and 3- they're larger in diameter than the other ones so there's more area being held down. The others just didn't look like they would hold as good as these do. Oh, and more important, they look damn good .
Installation is pretty straight forward IF! you're comfortable drilling into your fenders and you take your time. Very happy with these. You won't be disappointed. All I have to do now is work a deal for the mini me SS
Black buttons look great on white also.
@mniron
CHROME
BABY
CHROME!!!
@Bill Martin, I've just heard that @mniron is no longer going to be doing installs, and anyone who wants the mod will have to drill their own holes. Better start drinking, bub.
Disclaimer: I'm just kidding about the "no install" thing! Don't everyone go complaining to @mniron!

If @mniron ain't drilling - hood buttons are history!!!! Don't think I could get drunk enough - kinda like when my bride wanted to "renew our vows" at 30 year anniversary- told her I couldn't do it cause I'll never get that drunk again!!
That didn't turn out well either
Wow, long day at the vets again,...I mean doctors office. I get home and look what I received. I ordered some parts from @mniron and he also sent along a really nice key chain.
think you sir. Not only did he give me a great price, he through in a gift. Awesome!
You are very welcome, trying to cheer you up a bit!

Yeah, well....as good as @mniron 's directions are, this is still pretty intimidating. Holy shit, Phil. This is the automotive version of the first poor bastard who looked at a lobster and thought, "I could eat that." How the EFF you figured this design out the first time....all I want to know is, how many times did you dick this up before you got it right?

Hahahahaha. Right up there with make sure you get the right hole.....
@KayTwo Did mine today wasn't that hard at all with the instructions only issue was the hole for the buttons was so tight i could only thread them in 1/2 way before couldn't turn them anymore. easy fix. and found out the passenger side light is farther back cause bumper won't go back up since hits the side 1st. gonna tweak the light assembly later but easy to follow instructions. Even though i was afraid to drill the hood after Painter just did it.
