Eh, I've said that about a couple of mods I've seen on slings too, so to each their own.

This was from this morning at 6-something, although the thermometer on the Sling said 26 on the ride into work...
You drove it into work @26*?

Not me, I do not have a job, but I do take the SS out just about every day unless it is raining.

No longer, Sir! No more nuclear power excursions for me, have decided to retire from that action. Will be staying in Las Cruces & doing things I’ve been wanting to do for a long time! Taking 2018 off for sure, may find some dink little job locally after that - time will tell...

Thanks all. I’m a little uncomfortable with the word “retirement” as I don’t really feel financially prepared for it yet. Everything I own is paid for - no loans (home, vehicles, etc.) so that’s good but don’t feel I have enough put away. I’ll be watching my spending very carefully & just see how it goes...
Since I bought that used Harley this summer, I’ve only put about 200-300 miles on the Slingshot since then. When I want to get into the wind, keep choosing the HD. It’s just in my blood, been riding 2 wheels since I was a boy. The Sporty is light & handles great so it doesn’t seem to tweak my back like the heavy FL models I’ve been riding for years.
Because of all of this, am considering selling my SS. No final decisions yet but definitely mulling it over. Will keep ya’ posted. IF I sell, no worries, you’re still stuck with my idiotic posts, I won’t abandon the forum...

BTW, here’s my biker trash Christmas wreath on my front door. Note the friendliness by which solicitors are greeted...

@Tripod, Congratulations on your days of leisure, ( didn't want to use the retirement word). I was planning to do the same as you and kick back starting in January but my boss gave me a raise and begged me to stay on for a few more years. Damnit, I said yes. So maybe in 2020 I can call it quits and live the life of Tripod. I hope you can find the way to make it work for you.

Do not do it. Go ahead and retire where you can enjoy the last few good years before everything goes to crap. (HEALTH)
