I had mine powder coated at the dealer, they had to replace the bearing because of the heat used in the powder coat process .
OK. My dealer (Ride 1) has called me to do all my recalls 5 times now. The dealer is in Ohio, over 1 1/2 hours ride from home, one way. Weather here this time of year sucks, might get a 60 degree day, but roads are white washed with salt. Then rain, washes off the salt, and it drops to 20 degrees. Snow or ice follows.... and repeat. I kept telling them none of the recalls were affecting me, and that I just wanted to wait until the weather breaks. I'm not talking about when everyone shows up, I'm good with riding in to the shop in the 30's. But I want a clean, clear road and at least 30 to come back. They called tonight, and they are slow and want to do the recalls now. They want to send a truck to pick up my Sling (Rollback with sides as I understand) on Wed. I said, "What will it cost?" He said, "Nothing, it's Warranted." Work will be done, then my Sling returned. I've had some issues with this dealer in the past, but they are trying to make things right. We will see how this goes, but I'm impressed with the effort and offer.
Sounds like dealers are making out well with labor cost write offs... Gotta be something in it for them to make such efforts!
My dealer called today....my swingarm finally came in I'm picking it up in the morning to have powder coated
Spoke to my dealer about the recalls yesterday. They told me that the gray swing arms are arriving now 2-3 per week. I have an Orange swing arm and they are not sure when they will arrive.

That must be the only time a grey one beats out a faster red or orange one

I think Polaris determined that the Grey ones really do need a head start, or that they felt it was time for the Grey ones to take the lead even if it is for a limited time.

Or they like the grey the best!

That's probably it Mitch. EVERYONE loves an underdog

Not sure where this is going. Grey slings stick together. Why the lipstick reds, baby blues, shoe polish blacks, diaper whites, sherbet orange, etc, think they are better is beyond me.
Hello @MACAWS. I think your sling looks mighty fine. If I hose mine down, ours look pretty similar.

The red ones are the most popular, that makes them the Hillary Clinton of slingshots.
I picked my gray swingarm today from dealer then dropped it off at Powder Coat it was a ordered 3 months ago ....
Got my Sling back with all the recalls done. Only hit one patch of ice coming home, lol. That was fun...
As far as the recall stuff... No issues whatsoever. No extra costs, and I even forgot to take off my Alpha Hitch and they said not an issue. They took it off and re-installed it at no extra cost.
Have to say, my guys have been pretty fair. But then I am one of their biggest Slingshot Fans too.
Dropping mine off tomorrow for recalls..:-)
Dropped mine off today for the recall work. They asked me if I wanted a red or titanium colored swing arm. I'm going with red. They are only doing one vehicle every couple days. They are having problems with tools breaking. Stated they broke 5 tools on one SS. Asked if they will grease the zirc on the universal also. Last time I tried it didn't go well.
