Beautiful Ride in Joshua Tree. The desert is coming alive!
SS is back home, safe and sound with all recalls completed! CCM is the dealer I took it to, located just north of the US 68 and I-71 intersection. They had me in as soon as I arrived, replaced the back up camera also. They also did a "bleed" on the clutch.... although it's not really that. They showed me the newer manual online, and it states, "Fill clutch reservoir to max line, depress clutch and hold for 5 seconds. Release then check to see level is still at max, if not fill to max. Repeat as needed, 5-7 times or until clutch pedal release is acceptable". Now I put that in quotes, but it was as I remember at best. My older manual (got it in mid 2016) did not mention that, or if it did I missed it. I will admit, I'm more a "do it and if it doesn't work then look" kind of guy. All I can tell you is that my clutch is better, and they didn't charge me. They also gave me a coupon for $2 off the new Wendy's breakfast and it was next door. Very good I might add, better than Micky Dees by a long shot!
I got back late, as I stopped on the way back at ThomSS and visited for awhile. Ended up back home at about 8:00 ish, and just backed the truck and trailer into the driveway and will mess with unloading the SS tomorrow. Happy the recalls are up to date! Now to just get that Welter FXS on it and a few other changes so it will be ready to go when the weather here decides to cooperate!
Goats_Hogs nice write up! Is your SS a 2016? What was the issue with the clutch or was this just a tune up?
Took it to Joey's!

WooHoo! Great times. I think everyone did someone else's mods at some point. Rob did Will's lights, I helped Marco with his shocks, while Joey did my steering wheel.

Yes, it's a 2016. I got this one from a good friend that doesn't frequent here much anymore. He had some hip issues, and couldn't drive it without hurting. It had only been driven about 500 miles in the past two seasons, and the seal had started leaking on the master cylinder. I replaced it, and while the clutch would fully disengage, it would start to engage just about 1/2" off the floor. May not be perfect yet, but likely more like 2", a much needed improvement!
Did about 200 miles yesterday with some of my brothers from my CVMA Chapter. Great day to take the front part of the roof off and enjoy the sunshine. Did a route from Cabot, AR, to Drasco (just north of Heber Springs), then Batesville for lunch, back through Bald Knob and then home. First nice day to really enjoy. Loving the SS more every ride

Looks like a great ride! Cabot is about 180 miles from us, but I'd like to come down & join you some time!
Hit the 60s today so decided to take a spin around town. Uncovered it checked the fluids and tire pressure, pressed the start button and got clicking. Note to self check the maintainer for good connection on occasion. I got to use my remote jump terminal that I installed in 2015 for the first time. Nice ride and a stop for icecream. Pretty good for the first day of March.
Update: Battery was dead this morning, pulled it an went to the dealer. Bad cell, they prorated it and I have a new one on the way. Interstate stands behind their product.
Feel free to come on down Doc. Weather is starting to get a little better every week Pretty soon your area will be out the Northernwest Arkansas snowbelt
Meanwhile in Colorado a few more inches of snow.... Gotta move to Arizona...
