You left out solid rubber tires. That way Porchdog won't have to worry about them not wearing evenly

When researching new tires for the Grasshopper I have chatted with
Discount Tire, Les Schwab, as well as have had email contact with BF
Goodrich, General, Goodyear, Michelin, (and others that I do not recall
presently), where each shared that there would be no problem in running
an asymmetrical tire on the rear of the SlingShot, (and that is my only
point, otherwise it is just personal preference.)Bill
(DAMN, I got roped into this topic again!)

It’s a directional tire...do you run the left one or the right one on the rear...

LEFT and technically it doesnt matter.

For the whatever dozenth time, as also explained by the tire manufacturers, a directional tire by design primarily serves it's purpose in a steering position, in a non steering position it just acts like any other tire.

It all depends if you do more driving forward or backing up

Just before my 4100 mile trip I had a General Max AS-05 tire mounted on the rear of my SS. I ran 12+ hour days in twisties, at 80+ MPH and in downpours and never had one iota of issues. End of story as far as I am concerned.

I am NOT REPEAT NOT about to get into a huge tire debate....but YES YOU CAN RUN WHAT YOU CALL A SPLIT TREAD TIRE IN THE BACK!!
Its proper name is Asymmetrical ....it is non directional. They can be run anywhere in any position on any vehicle as long as they are mounted on the wheel properly!!there are only 4 types tires...truck tires excluding
Symmetrical (mount doesnt matter)
Asymetrical (inside and outside)
Directional (read the name figure it out)
RUN FLAT (can be run on flat at low MPH for 50 miles)5 if you include drag radial. (ask @rabtech)
