I purchased the other tank from DDM not the new tank. New tank is $100.00 less. I think the powder coated tanks were $20.00 more than the raw tank.
I agree, but discount tanks are $125 regardless.

Ok. Thanks. Never looked online to see the price. Great tank to replace the plastic junk.
My whites are white, except for one spot,.... don't judge!
Red is for sleds.............
Maybe, but at least the Jamaican Bobsled team has to practice on the slower WHITE ones. Grey is their back-up sled. They're dreaming of the FASTER RED ones as we speak.
So Phil are you coming to Summit Point to show us up?
We will let you be the red sled up front
I'm going to pass and leave that one for the open roads in Maggie Valley 30 days later. Going to be in Texas in April and then SSITS for May, so time is limited. PLUS I ride and don't trailer the S/S

To summarize: old tanks, $225 each, color or raw. New "budget" tanks, $125 each, red or black, raw metal an option, but "scuffed" looking and unrecommended by DDM.
Look forward to riding with you in Maggie, May even see you around bike week. I have to be in Naples for a meeting so I ma trying move to around that timeframe

It is what it is I just received the high dollar tank last friday(installed Saturday) I would rather have 1/8 not threaded holes for $100+ less but.....
@KayTwo, There is a raw option on the $125 tanks
Thanks, fixed it.

You have a good looking tank. The cap is a work of art.
Speaking of caps... Can the budget tank use a cap from the type SlingshotOnly sells? Budget cap leaves much desired...

Had to do *something* to knock off $100, right?

I agree I love the tank, Ddm has to continue with innovations and new parts. My tank is made by griffin ,you always pay more for top brands.

Yes, you know some of us do not use trailers or have the truck to pull them with.

Hey guys, both of our new surge tanks use the regular push and twist radiator caps. Polaris uses the plastic threaded style cap.
We are playing around with a few options for radiator caps but until we release our caps just shop around online or at your local auto parts store. It is an older design which means there is a lot to choose from already out there. Be careful buying cheap ones off Ebay or something as the quality may be an issue and could cause problems.
The cap should not put you off from this awesome upgrade to your slingshot!
Here is just one example available on the world wide web.
Oh it won't! I knew it'd be a quick fix... Just sharing commentary...
I have peanut gallery credentials...
@Dave@DDMWorks are these less expensive tanks still made by Griffin?

No they are not. Griffin tanks are still available. But these budget tanks are made be one of our other manufacturers.
