Took a little trip today.
But that wasn't the best part. We made this ride to join @EjFord and Nielsen Enterprise folks to help find a Cure for Kids by participating in the Ride for Kids put together by the folks from Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.[Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation - Homepage (PBTF)].
We were blessed to have 6 year old Lauren ride in our Slingshot. Her little brother didn't win the fight against a brain tumor just over a year and a half ago and passed away. Lauren told me a story about her brother and catching frogs and crawfish - you could tell by her voice that she missed him very much. I can tell you that without a doubt driving in rain or rough roads or hydroplaning or any other difficult driving situation is NOTHING compared to trying to fight back the tears so you can see the road while a little girl tells you all about her brother who was taken from this world by a brain tumor.
Lauren was so sweet - she made herself right at home in Buckshot making herself comfortable as we toured the countryside
She even "suffered" from the comfort and fell asleep a couple of times (her poor little head was bobbing so much that with my right hand I had to help steady her by holding her helmet).
But check out these photos - even on the longest straightaway you couldn't see the end of the line. That's @EjFord chasing me down
Here's a little video of all the wonderful folks who came out to help support these star survivors and find a cure. Sorry about the bug splatter - didn't see that before we took off.
GREAT BIG HUGE THANK YOU TO @EjFord, Joe, Danna, and everyone else that works so hard for the awesome cause
