Nice @Slingrazor! I'm hoping to eventually get my decals from, dare I say, @robert.piner... And they're Cobras!!!
Been following yours and like the look. We are working with @Slingshot Garage on a hood emblem, set of light covers and maybe the snake tonge.

That terrifies me immensely... More than an actual snake... Jethus cwithe...

This is my new Wind Restrictor. Very happy with how the etching turned out.

That is absolutely stunning. The visual impact is amazing.

Thanks Cameron, looks awesome at night. Put all the LED's on demo

love the look, how many miles do you have with it on? I've noticed less turbulence with mine.

Yes...... but I will admit to an element of curiosity, lol

1) I think sound quality is improved. The nature of the SS lends itself to a lot of noise but I do notice some improvement.
2) Wind motion/direction is altered, not gone by any means but different.
3) At speed I have never had an issue with exhaust, I have the Alpha side exit.
4) Aesthetically...I love it!
5) Drag...no doubt some is created but I'm not on the track racing so I would say not a big issue!
6) There was some issue with flex but that has been addressed.
7) Did I mention that it looks bada$$!The exhaust has been my only real concern on these. I have heard mixed reviews from those that have it with the Welter exhaust. This is the first time I have seen a review from someone with a side exhaust. Think this means this is on the Christmas list.

I'm working on making my own rear wind deflector. I've seen two different companys models and one of them mounts theirs inside the cock pit and one mounts on the outside. So which one will work best and does anyone know if either way would be a better mount to reduce the most wind and noise? I'll add that my SS has a roof over it so the deflector will be about two inches lower and I'm not using a windshield because of the problems it causes with my vision. DISTORTION...

Here is one I made a few years ago. If you want it, even just as a template, hit me up in PM. It was a proof of concept, so it's thinner with stronger, more visible supports. Quick release, pull four pins and remove. It seemed to amplify cross winds on the freeway. That is why it stayed a "concept" for me.

I have made my own and mounted it inside because of my top, I used 1/4 Plexiglas. I do use a windshield as well. I don't think the mounting location matters much reducing the wind/noise since there is really no difference in placement. It does seem to reduce the wind some in my case.

The ones you can buy are 3/8" thick. I would think 1/4 would really have flexing problems... Have you tried mounting it on the outside to see if it made any difference? I also notice you didn't cut out around the piece behind the headrest... Did you make standoff pieces to avoid that? I wonder if that would also make a difference...the after market ones are cut out around them with about a 3/8" gap.

I did cut around the hoops, the pictures are not from mine. I will post pictures tomorrow. I have not experience any flexing at interstate speeds of around 85 MPH. I cannot mount it on the outside due to my top.

I had no flex because of the bracing. I never tried mounting on the outside. I thought the wind could possibly bend the screws pulling in that manner. If you look at my 5th pic, you can see the receivers mounted behind the seat. They are held by one screw each. Mounting on the outside would increase the leverage the wind would be applying to those screws. Not sure what offset you are referring to @Bigdog, it does not touch any plastic panels, or the roll bars, if that is what you're asking. It simply slides in the receivers and gets a pin through each reciever (seen in this photo if you zoom in)

this is the template I used to cutout my deflector,

Have you tried some look over windscreens, like the short Madstad? I don't like looking through either and tried 4 different screens till I settled on the Madstad. Also, you can always sit on a cushion or get a custom seat to look over.

That is pretty close to the one I made. I have to fit it under my roof unless I decide to mount it on the outside. Looking at other manufactures items they all use 3/8" ...that said it could be over kill or just out of liability issues. I'm going to use 3/8". Inside mounting would probably flex less than mounting outside. But I'm also considering using 4 mounts instead of two.
